Thx, good kills! A lot of flames and smoke! You sir should share your loadout!

Thx.
Yeah quite easy to flame up stuff in the E4 with the canon, not the Spit though. Been flying E1 only but last weekend jumped into the E4 for shitz and giggles. So much easier to bring down planes.

Nice video. Great shooting and very steady on the controls.
nice work, good combo of mg and cannon use

Cheers, thanks for watching.
With good teamwork/wingman, it makes it possible.

If it's brown, shoot it down!
tried your loadout last night - had my best 'instant kill' ever - completely ripped the hurricane's wing off and lit him on fire - (from super close range)...
so... what loadout do you use for the 109e3 ?

Havent flown the E3 much at all, but convergence will be the same across all variants.
MG's the same loadout on all variants
Phosphur mit Stahlkern
Spitzgeschoss mit Kern, Hart
I dont like to use tracer so if that option exists in the E3 I will take it.
Looking at the E3 loadouts in the game it seems a bit messy, some admin work required there by the devs.
The E3 ammo is somewhat of a mystery to me and all I have found online today is conflicting data as to what it is exactly!

The panzerbrandgranate are AP, but the fusing of the rounds differ a lot, the burn through self detonation also varies (time/distance), Some have no burn through self destruct.
Some were designed for ships and only exploded after passing through 3-15mm of steel depending on which round it is. How that is modelled in the game I dunno.
I seem to remember there were more types of 20mm ammo in the original game, they seem to be missing for the E3 now.
I would choose the one that explodes on impact, and has no tracer if available, whatever that may be?
A few 20mm rounds hitting aircraft like these anywhere at good convergence is going to be pretty lethal. Heavy AP rounds may penetrate and only explode on the other side of the aircraft, not sure how this is modeled.

????
Maybe someone else has a definitive explanation of these ammo types and how they are modelled in the game?
It's as clear as mud to me I am afraid

If it's brown, shoot it down!
Ok I found this, I even posted in the thread lol, my brain is like a sift
http://theairtacticalassaultgroup.co...ead.php?t=6822We have made a few changes that are not yet in the wiki, please have a look in the TF4 wiki:
http://theairtacticalassaultgroup.co...ead.php?t=6319
MG FF:
-Sprenggranate L'spur m.Zerl (134g AP round with small HE payload, with tracer and self destruction)
-Panzergranate L'spur (134g AP with tracer)
-Panzergranate (134g AP)
MG FF/M:
-Panzergranate (115g AP)
-Panzerbrandgranate Phosphor o.Zerl (115g AP/I without self destruction)
-Panzersprenggranate L'spur m.Zerl (115g AP with small HE payload, with tracer and self destruction)
-Brandsprenggranate L'spur m.Zerl (115g HE/I with tracer and self destruction)
-Brandgranate L'spur o.Zerl (115g I with tracer without self destruction)
-M-Geschoss m.Zerl (92g HE with self destruction)
Please note that;
1. the change of the "Panzerbrandgranate" with "Panzergranate" is purely a name change as it was a pure AP round even in "vanilla Clod".
2. we removed the "Panzerbrandgranate (Elektron)" and filled it's place with the "Panzersprenggranate" since there is no reason to keep both the "Phosphor" and "Elektron" variants of this round (The game engine can't model the "Elektron's" historical payload of elektronthermit)
Cheers/m
In the loadout screen
2cm Pzgr.Patr.FF o.Zerl -I think this is just a AP round, no self destruct no tracer.
All the rest are HE rounds with a tracer component it seems, with the option of a self destruct and non self destruct projectile.
Si it looks like there is no getting away with using an HE round without tracer in the 20mm E3.
If it's brown, shoot it down!
Holysh1tballs, I even got a Spitfire to catch fire
If it's brown, shoot it down!
Really like your shooting!

The most impressive part of that first video is the team work and communication with your wingman. Hard to beat a great team!
