"Not forgetting that these will need to be the most secure of areas as no-one wants to hear about someone flying at 600 mph in a Stuka, not getting any damage and carrying 600 bombs!"

Hermann Goering would have loved to hear about it.

I, on the other hand, am encouraged to hear that modding the AI is still at least being considered. It's the only reason I don't fly COD any longer.
I keep it on my hard drive, and there it will remain until TF gives the AI their magic touch.
Looking forward eagerly to that day-
    Cheers,
    Chris

Here are 2 pictures, one directly from the video and the other a real picture posted in this thread. I marked the areas I am speaking of. The only reason I am posting this is because IMHO, these areas of variance in color in a single field add to the realistic look COD has now. The new tiles look much cleaner, sharper and more colorful, I am just hoping TF will keep the variance in some of the fields so we don't just end up with different shades of green and contrasting tan(dead crop or grass representation) only. Thanks for your hard work, as usual TF is keeping COD alive and evolving and I am very thankful for that.

This will be a added! Together with darker trees! IE. Less neon green

But just to be clear.. England in july is exceptionally green and most of the dead grass is gone... A lot of people living in the UK say this is very close to how it actually looks in july. Check attached real life pictures and videos further up in the thread.
    Saying that, variation never hurts!

Very glad to see a representation of hedgerows in the new textures, albeit only in 2D. It will make a big difference to see that very distinct feature of the S. English countryside, so well done for putting them in, it must have been a big job to change all the textures!

Eh, when I flew in to the Duxford flying legends this year (An-2) i've seen a lot of different colors. Even Lavender fields around Southend-on-Sea. Most of the trip was a bit foggy and we had to cross the Channel pretty low.

But you were spot on about the wheat fields.

Hmm it seems that the images won't show up...

    Mystic,

Will the new Map tool allow someone to go back and fix the road routes on the current map where there are no bridges or the roads don't go thru towns causing the AI ground units to stop moving?

    The WIP colors look great!

    Thanks

When ready, the map tool should allow doing anything map related, this included.

Might cure me of wanting to visit in your winter.........

Here ya go! Not a photo but a real live video! We had more snow accumulation last year, but this year has certainly been the coldest!!!!!
