Placing Humans......Where am I going wrong with this?

In the Re-creating Airfields tread, Salmo put a simple method of using human objects that are in the Stationary ini file but which don't show up in the list in the editor. 'Place an object', he said, 'Save the mission then open the mission file and edit the object by replacing it with this name'. Stationary.Humans.FieldKitchen_UK_Passenger_2. I do that which gives me this...

send Salmo a personal message and get an example line.

It's been 2 years almost since I designed missions but there can also be a height factor with the humans.

Try a starting height of 1 the human may be spawning below ground so you don't see him

Your static0 line does not seem to be formatted correctly. You should have the country code after the object name & before the X map coordinate. Try a line like this .....

    Code:
    [Stationary]
      Static0 Stationary.Humans.FieldKitchen_UK_Passenger_2 gb 20391.27 10603.64 0.00

Salmo thanks for your reply. I didn't try to contact you as I thought you must be busy enough with your Team Fusion work. I'll try what you say.

    Hi ATAG_Wolf

Where do you adjust the height?
Here are the coordinates I am using:
    234765.20 232991.98 0.00
I assumed the 0.00 was it but when I change it nothing happens.
    Thanks

The correct syntax for elevating the humans looks like this. The coordinate numbers are respectively; X, Y & rotation vector (0.00 in this example).

    Code:
    Static0 Stationary.Humans.FieldKitchen_UK_Passenger_2 gb 234765.20 232991.98 0.00 /hstart 0.81

Re: Placing Humans......Where am I going wrong with this?

    Thanks Salmo, that works.
I noticed that a stationary .ini file was posted in this thread. Is it possible to put that into the game somewhere so the humans will show up in FMB?
Also, I don't seem to be able to "copy to file" any humans. (So I can't make templates with a group of humans) Is that something that just isn't possible to do at this time? So far, I have to add humans by writing them in in notepad in the method you described.
    Thanks for your help!
    Regards
    AP
