I'm new to CLOD, (but ran IL-2 Sturm for years) I purchased the DVD version a few years ago but never installed it, it has the DVD and a registration code in the box.
When I attempt to install it, it says : steam must be installed to an empty folder (program files(x86) steam etc.) I have ROF and steam is already in that location
Welcome Lewicide! I just read something about this recently, and Ill be damned if I can remember where. However I just googled "steam must be installed to an empty folder" and it turned up some interesting results. Give it try, your answer could be there. If your ROF install works fine, it's strange COD won't install. Must be a way! Hope you get it going, please report back and keep an eye on this thread as I'm sure someone will have an answer...
