    3D modeller project for beginner?

Gentlemen, I have raised a couple of bugs/issues today in the bugtracker, one of which is that Gravesend aerodrome is incorrect, please see
    http://tfbt.nuvturais.de/issues/729 Please upvote.

But that's not the purpose of this thread entirely, it's that this old pre-war flying club aerodrome has a few unique hangers which would be great if they could be added because presently Gravesend is empty, and they may be suitable for somebody wishing to delve into a Blender project. Obviously it's up to TF if the work is good enough, but it just seems a decent starter project for someone wishing to cut their teeth and hopefully it can lead onto bigger things.

and before the big hanger was built here's a shot of the other hangers

Both have reasonable scale, there are people and vehicles around for that. I imagine these hangers need to be done inside too, that's something else because really, nobody knows what they were like.

Thanks for any interest this generates.

It's certainly possible to add some building & other structures to approximate RAF Gravesend's layout in 1940. Keep the pic's coming

Talking about projects that could be not too hard to create with Blender, I think that this one could make a cool target for hurry bombers

Only Team Fusion knows how to do that. So if you have any models that could be interesting for the game, I suggest contacting them...
    MSI GAMING G65 // i7 4770k @ 4.2GHZ // ASUS GTX 780 CUll // 8GB RAM (@1600mhz) // Windows 7 Professional 64 Bit Version
Thrustmaster T16000 + Saitek x52 Throttle // Saitek Throttle Quadrant // MFG Crosswind Pedals // Track IR 5

It is a very complex and difficult process and one which we spent a lot of time discovering.

Those who are interested in contributing to CoD and TF and who have the 3D skills should contact us about joining the team.

    Please contact Mysticpuma initially.

    Thanks

    first question is:-

Do CLOD 3d models work of tri's or quad's?

I'm not a modeler myself, but believe they are triangles.

Oooo. I know what I'm going to work on now. I just started Blender Monday and those objects don't seem too hard. Now, its just creating them.

    Cheers,

It is tri's but you work with quads in the 3d program. Tri's become troublesome when modeling and uvmapping/unwrapping. Stick with 4 point faces when possible. I'm not entirely sure of the process but the quads then get divided into tris automatically because the GPU sees tris.
