Thanks to Looky for bringing this to our attention.

For those using Windows 8.1 and current Nvidia video cards finding they are experiencing annoying ingame stuttering while online, here is an Nvidia driver "hotfix" to install:

EDIT: Beta hotfix 350.05 now updated by Nvidia to certified WQHL 350.12.

IMPORTANT: As SwizCheez recommends below, ALWAYS do a Restore Point before installing any new driver or application. Per Fidget's thread elsewhere, Nvidia is getting feedback on its forum that some users are experiencing problems with the new drivers. Some here may prefer their previous driver, so going back to a prior Restore Point may be desired.

Please note per the OP that this is an Nvidia driver. I doubt very much it would work for an AMD video card.

I used 350.05 and it has worked like a dream. Can't vouch for the latest but it might be interesting to see if they work as well.

350.12 is the latest which should include what was in the 350.05 hotfix drivers.
I believe one has already reported in another thread they are just as good if not better for this issue.

Just to confirm the 350.12 whql drivers released by nvidia today,work great on cliffs multiplayer.
So dont be afraid to update from 350.10 hotfix.

YES it is FIXED, 50/50 on ATAG with huge fur ball over Ciala and was smooth as a babies new born bottom...

350.12 WHQL'ed wow took them 6 months, but now for Windows 10 I'm afraid...

Everything is working great for me with the 350.12 !
I didn't even bother to do a clean install, the regular update works fine.

2 hours on ATAG's server, 60 people overall and I've never been shot at by spits so smoothly online before.

Well, I never had any stutters on Win7 but since upgrading to the new 350 driver I'm experiencing major stutters..

Do you have the same results with both the 350.05 and the 350.12 version of the driver on your windows 7 system? Which version did you go back to to correct your issue?

Are you 64bit win 7 and can you let us know which CPU and Nvidia video card you have?

Hmmm...Maybe, while waiting for Nvidia Geforce to get their drivers correct, we may need to start compiling chart to track in general which video driver works best with which OS and video card. Reporting any pattern we notice back to the Nvidia Geforce team may help lead to a better driver for ClOD???

I haven't tried on ATAG yet, but on AX dogfight I thought performance was smoother then usual and in my benchmark SP mission - German attack airfield - I did notice an improvement! Maybe not so much fps as the smoothness of movement. This is good news indeed! This was with 350.05

By the by and I know this is a touchy topic so if it deserves it's own thread so be it.... does this mean we could reintroduce at least one AI bomber flight? that would be huge!

I have not yet went back to adress the problem.

AMD Phenom II x940. GTX 770.

It goes smooth but when looking around when the sun is in my screen it stutters enormously. In ROF I cannot dogfight anymore. When I am too close to another plane and look at it it hangs for 3 seconds.

the sun would indicate a threshold problem with TIR, try playing with it, there's no reason why it would stutter otherwise. With zooming in and that - that's a different story. Usually takes:

-unparking cores to make sure you're utilizing cpu to full potential
-run without aero
-use recommended ini file settings and recommended nvidia cp settings
-clear cache
-run directx redist + repair net framework

and other stuff - try looking up the master list.

I would add to the list the VSynch - make sure its on, without it you might have some tearing, which can be confused with stuttering.

Thanks guys but my problem really is not one of the list you are showing. It is a problem wich occurs in both CloD and RoF since the new driver. According to the Nvidia forum there are loads of problems with the new driver. I rolled back to 3.47 and my problems have been gone.

No problems with the new drivers and win7 here Snap old bean. I can't remember the last time Nvidia drivers caused me a problem, must be years ago.

Edit; I should mention that I can't speak for Nvidia Experience, I don't install it.
