Has anyone else had weird happenings with this game? Im not the greatest pilot but when a bullet coming out of a muzzle at a 45 degree angle takes out my entire plane...well.. there ya go.

That's War Thunder for you, I think the idea is that you shell out more and more cash for better planes. I wouldn't mind playing and grinding in it if the realistic mode wasn't so screwed up (mouse users have an IMMENSE advantage over joystick users, like stupidly overpowered, like where even joystick users throw away their sticks for mice because you have to be a nut to try to use a stick vs mouse and they want to call this "realistic" mode, what a laugh) and when you point this out everyone says to play sim battles, well there is A LOT less sim battles going on and since you got to actually play games to get tech points and golden turtles and level up your planes, this is ridiculously slow. Really the game is a mess of Pay To Win that COULD be done in such a way to preserve some integrity but instead they just don't care and it's full of fanboys who already paid for their crap and don't want anything to change...
you know there are actually planes in the game that do feature guns at 45 and higher degrees right? Schräge Musik

I can't knock WT....It feeds us with good players all the time...Folks play it...eventually get bored but are introduced to WW2 flight sims..they look for other options in the same genre.......they find us and BINGO!...our population increases....Its a good advert for WW2 flight sims even if some of us don't like it to play....I tried it for about 5 minutes before I gave up...but I came from CLOD and I don't think it works that way around..I think if you have already taken the time to learn CLOD you are probably less likely to move to WT than vice-versa...

Maybe it was a "Premium account" bullet or, even better, a russian plane bullet
Pretty much sums me up Lewis. I bought Cliffs but couldn't be bothered to learn all the complexities of it so I shelved it and later found War Thunder. At first WT was a blast, but after unlocking all German planes and up to level 4 in all other countries I found it was getting boring. I actually wanted more complexity but sim in WT is a disaster. That is when I reinstalled Cliffs, jumped on ATAG and took the time to set everything up and use the great people/guides on these forums to learn the game. I have fired up WT a total of 2 times since I started playing Cliffs. Once to try the oculus (terrible VR support, btw) and once to hop into my beloved Bearcat. Both times lasted about 10 mins before I had enough.
