The game does work on Win 10 for me. It actually works better than Win 7 & 8. I have had only a few launcher crashes (3) over the last few months. Nivida has drivers for Win 10 and are working great. Of course every computer has it's own mind. I will be staying with Windows 10. I am running a I 5 Intel processor and a 970 Nivida graphics card with every setting maxed to high.

I run Windows 10 TP latest build. IL-2 Cliffs of Dover + TF runs well as does IL-2 1946 + HSFX 7.0. Performance is great and no glitches. Also DCS World + plane modules runs well on Windows 10 TP. I have to say I like Windows 10.

For the day that Windows 10 becomes OEM on new PC's, it's great to hear at least one Nvidia and one Radeon user find it works OK with Clod -- Team Fusion version. As too many of us know, Win 8/8.1 created problems for Nvidia users for almost two years with online gaming stuttering until quite recently with its 350.x drivers.

Certainly I'm reluctant to install Windows 10 without assessing its performance and compatibility. The problems we had with Windows 8.1 in the online game led me to delve into the intricacies of the operating system and deactivate certain programs and features that were automatically active in Windows 8.1: Skydrive (onedrive), new modern Metro apps that automatically connect Internet and can interfere with gameplay online, Windows automatic updates .. etc.
Copied from first post link: "More annoyingly, perhaps, Microsoft has also changed how updates will work with Windows 10. Although the Pro and Enterprise editions will both be able to defer updates, Windows 10 Home users will not have the option. Updates will instead be downloaded and installed automatically as soon as they're available."
From http://www.zdnet.com/article/get-win...tag=TRE7ce1dc9
"As the population of upgraded PCs grows larger, a new feature in Windows 10 will kick in, reducing the load on Microsoft's servers. Options in Windows 10 will allow peer-to-peer transfers of apps and OS updates, on the same network and potentially over the Internet."
How might this affect Cliffs of Dover online gaming?
Upgrading to Windows 10 will not be a clean install, I hope it will be possible to download a .iso image, a system repair disc which has often saved my ass.

I read that 10 will be the last windows. Apparently from there on, new versions will be pushed as an update.
If this is true, I can already see the 1000GB downloads in 5 years to bring the 10 installation to version 14

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

If anyone tries Win10 and have CH Products and TrackIR, please report your findings.
No use upgrading if no drivers work for my CH Product setup! (Stick, rudder, throttle)
Thanks!!!!
(I'm still running Win 7 64 bit )

I'll be getting Windows 10, supposedly as a free upgrade because I signed up for it via that free upgrade promotion as I own (more like rent/am licensed to have, we don't own software!!) a copy of Windows 7.
I plan however on installing it in a dual boot (possibly even triple boot) config with my current Windows 7 OS, I already have a 2nd "clean" Windows 7 SP1 HP 64bit install (for emergencies, when or if something goes wrong in my main install) so if M$ force you to do an in-place upgrade to Windows 10 (to ensure you have Windows 7 and didn't just give them a bogus code) rather than a full install that's no big deal.
I'll slowly migrate over, if I even do migrate at all, no doubt I'll be forced to by some new game which won't run in Windows 7...
Weekly backups using something like Acronis True Image (I use it) should help with the forced update problem for any WX Home users, although still a pita - it's also where a 2nd install of Windows with Windows 7 can be helpful, because if like me you have an older backup programme and it doesn't work in Windows 10, you can just use it in Windows 7 to make a backup. Or just keep like I do a clean 2nd install from a state where you know everything works and never boot into it until you have to.
If Win X updates hose your games performance just use System Restore (assuming that even exists or has an equivalent in Win X) or restore completely using the backup you last created when it all worked fine (assuming it even worked fine in the first place).
That's all of course assuming multi-booting will be supported by Win X...

Another reason to have a dual boot Windows 7/10 setup is to preserve the "Windows XP Mode" which is available in Windows 7 Pro or higher but is not included in Windows 10. Be sure you have no need for any of your old Windows XP applications before you convert totally to Win 10. My old pickup truck maintenance manual is one of these, therefore I must be able to run that XP program if I need to fix the old lorry in future.
