Hey guys, at like 50% of the sorties I fly on ATAG I get kicked from the server due to timeout, its always from like maybe 40 minutes to an hour...
It is not the router restarting I am pretty sure, I covered that one...
Thanks!

Oh yes sorry, I thought I took a screenshot when it last crashed like 10 minutes ago, but turns out I didnt so I couldnt post it here.
It simply throws me to the menu, gives my an error saying that user got disconnected from the server reason: timeout. When I click OK I leave the server.
As got a new pc I have totaly forgot about that windows update I need to delete, I will make sure to delete it and check if it helped, thanks.
Wonder if is not an issue with being so far from the server or with the ISP.
You can try this....
open a command window (start->run and type "cmd")
on the black window type "ping -t 216.52.148.29" and press enter
Play the game.
When you get a timeout quickly jump to the cmd screen and see if you have timeouts. If you do, is a network issue not a game issue.
Actually, once you CTRL+C the ping, it will tell you how many packets where lost. Ideally it should be as close to 0 as possible.
Hey.
I flew 2 sorties with no problem today and then got kicked about 20 minutes into my third sortie...
Interesting is that I got kicked out of teamspeak as well. And everytime I timeout I get kicked from ATAG TS...
Not from any other TS however! (Like my squadrons one)
That is a good idea, but fix what? The internet works splendid and this is the only thing I have problems. Getting kicked out of the game I can understand but getting booted from TS server is interesting, I cannot understand that plus the fact my internet connection actually does not restart or quits... So out of some reason I just get kicked/lost connection to ATAG servers
Was now only on TS prepairing to fly a sortie when it happened, maybe it could give some clues...
<14:07:57> Connection to server lost
<14:07:58> Trying to connect to server on 216.52.148.29
<14:08:03> Failed to connect to server
<14:08:04> Trying to connect to server on 216.52.148.29
<14:08:09> Failed to connect to server
Idea: Should I have static or dynamic IP address set for my PC? or it doesnt matter?
Crashed again today
(Timeout)
This is what I got:

Well, depends who you talk to...
Typically if you talk to a support person that knows nothing, the standard answer will be "is a problem with your computer/cable/wifi/whatever" then, after insisting for one hour you can get them to escalate it to an engineer.
In short, what you have to tell them is that you have a 2% packet loss with 216.52.148.29 and that number should be as close to 0 as possible, specially considering that the ATAG server is connected to a very very very good service (almost directly to the backbone).
I called them and asked them to repair my connection. I am running optic so they said its a bit more tricky and that they filed my request and will be on it in 2-3 days...
Thanks.
Althrough I am not sure if they fixed it or still didnt, I went to atag and after some sorties I got a timeout. Lets hope that they still didnt come around to fix it..
But I have a thought: As this is my new pc with a brand new installation of cliffs, and only on this one I got timeout (while the internet is unchanged)... Could it be that something like static or dynamic IP could influence this or some other setting I have changed from old to new installation (pc) ?
is not the PC is the internet, now....
I had the same issue some time ago and it was because of my wifi. I connected a cable instead and the problem is now gone. Are you using WiFi?
Nope I use cable. Some time ago I did play around with static and dynamic IP address. Like those options if I want the IP address to be obtained automatically or I want always a specific IP address...
Currently I have it set so I use 1 IP address always 192.168.1.10
i had same issue with timeouts. what worked for me was enabling static ip and forwarding TCP ports 27015 & 27016. this solved game timeouts on all servers but i still get disconnects from TS with "failed to connect" error. strange but when i connect to TS through my laptop via wifi i dont get disconnects (same internet connection).
I figured something is blocking UDP traffic on my side, but still havent found what exactly. Anyway i have to reinstall windows (new SSD), so ill see if problem persists after i do that.
