    Belsimtek: F-5E Tiger II

    Belsimtek confirm develop of F-5E Tiger II to DCS: World

    http://www.belsimtek.com/news/1553/
    Development F-5E Tiger II
    Continuing working on the “famous” fighters’ line, we are especially concerned about game balance in DCS World. The best rival for the beloved by users MiG-21bis is an American fighter F-5E Tiger II, developed by the Northrop in the second half of the last century.

    Consistently caring about the quality of the released product, which is reflected in the “similarity” between the developed module and the real airplane, our specialists, in their work, are trying to only use available documentary data of the original airplane.

    Undoubtedly, a wide range of weapons from guided air-to-air missiles to various air-to-ground armament (unguided rockets, various bombs and cluster munitions) and two built-in 30-mm cannons will impress any fan of aviation battles. Professional flight model, implemented as close as possible to the real airplane in DCS World will allow aviation fans to enjoy flying the aircraft.

    In the following updates, we are planning to inform our virtual pilots about development progress of this fighter for DCS World.

    Re: Belsimtek: F-5E Tiger II

    New develop info of Belsimtek F-5E Tiger II.

    http://www.belsimtek.com/news/1634/
    Read more about what is done at the moment concerning the development of the DSC: F-5E Tiger II:

    The external model is almost fully implemented. You can choose some of the most famous colour skins;

    The 3D model of the cockpit is fully implemented;

    All the aircraft systems are accurately simulated in high detail;
    -The new engine compressor model is implemented based on accurate blade loads calculation.
    -The new model provides simulation of the compressor guiding unit functioning and the expanded range of engine operation modes (high and low compressor stalls, compressor operating in windmill mode);
    -The radar, optical sight, jettison system, possibility of gun firing, launching of air-to-air missiles, air-to-ground rocket firing, flare and chaff ejection are implemented into the model of the aircraft’s weapon system. All the above-mentioned items are now operating properly;

    The flight model:
    -operational range of altitude and speed, acceleration with various payloads and G loads (in sustained turns and at maximum angles-of-attack) are tuned basing on available information on the flight dynamics of the real aircraft; the model behavior at critical angles-of-attack (stalling) and post-stall behaviour (post-stall gyrations and spins) in general correspond to the descriptions in the real aircraft documents;
    -Flight manual in Russian for the game module is developed.

    In order to present this module in the Early Access version, we are to complete the following items:
    -make proper adjustments of operation of certain aircraft systems (for example, to adjust pump capacity, hydraulic fluid mass-flow rates, electric grid loads, etc.);
    -translate the Flight manual into English for English-speaking users. We try to take into account all our mistakes made during the development of the previous modules. At this stage quality translation and localization of the game Manual for English-speaking users is the most significant problem;
    -develop the Quick Start manuals in Russian and in English based on the complete Flight manuals in both languages.

    Some details I missing....

    http://www.belsimtek.com/news/
    After the successful, final release of the DSC: F-86 Sabre and DSC: MiG-15bis modules, the Belsimtek team is now focused on bringing DSC: F-5E Tiger II to Early Access within the next month. In the meantime, Belsimtek continues to edit the F-86F Sabre English manual and prepare DCS: Mi-8MTV2 for its final release.

    F-5E Tiger II prepurchase late May

    http://www.belsimtek.com/news/1641/
    F-5E Tiger II module development has transitioned to the final phase. Current level is already close to the “early access” requirements. April tasks for works on the project are completed. Especially we are proud with the progress in flight dynamics, its fine tuning. The full English manual and interactive tutorial missions are being completed. With the active help of volunteers in English manuals corrections we’ve managed to increase module readiness level by the time customers get “early access” product.

    Nevertheless the model is very complex, it’s not possible to identify all the issues with our internal tester team, and therefore we’ve decided to keep the two stage scheme: “Early access” at first, some time for customer testing and then – “Release”.

    The pre-purchase for F-5E Tiger II will be available on May 20, 2016! Purchasing the module now saves 20% from its full price during “Early access” and “Release”, as well as adds 20% from full price to your bonus account!

    I just couldn't help myself! Got the pre-purchase!

    I jumped on this one too. Not sure what it is about the F-5, but I couldn't resist this one. Looking forward to playing with this and learning how to use the systems.

    Re: Belsimtek: F-5E Tiger II

    I do not fly planes much, but I got a lot of them, this included. I plan to fly this one when released and hope to be able to survive in it. I like this era of jets and have some nostalgic feelings about this. Is anyone planning to get together flying this in the future. If so and I am home I would like to join

    Re: Belsimtek: F-5E Tiger II

    Incoming release of Belsimtek F-5E Tiger II on DCS: World by BSK webpage

    http://www.belsimtek.com/news/1645/
    DCS: F-5E Tiger II Early Access
    You can purchase the DCS: F-5E Tiger II here. The download will be available soon!

    The Belsimtek team started the development of the F-5E model in April 2015. The main goal of the development was to achieve the highest possible degree of correspondence between the model and the real prototype. As usual, during development of the new module, it became necessary to apply new approaches for modelling objects of the engine and various systems. In case of the F-5E, it was necessary to increase the number of modelled units for the engine, that is why the engine model has been adjusted up to the present time. Nevertheless, it was worth it, the present engine model, along with the precise flight model of the aircraft, made it possible to achieve correspondence of all the parameters, such as acceleration, climb rate, speed bleeding, gliding in all altitudes range, airspeeds with various takeoff weights and engine operating modes. And, as usual, careful attention was paid to the model behavior at the stalling angles and beyond stall angles (after stall and at spinning)! These modes were tested for more than four months by the real pilots during alpha testing!

    Main features of the DCS: F-5E Tiger II:

    Professional flight and engine model, precisely reproducing the performance of the real prototype in all altitudes envelope.
    temperatures and speeds for various weights and in-flight configurations.
    Detailed, interactive cockpit with six degrees of freedom.
    Interactive control of the cockpit elements using mouse.
    Fully simulated armament system.
    Electrical, fuel flow, hydraulic systems simulated in detail, as well as operation of the avionics.
    Authentic liveries of several countries.
    Complete set of training missions and single player missions.
    Complete and quick start manuals in Russian and English.
    Three-stage campaign for the F-5E module, developed by a third-party developer, outside the scope of the present module supply package (under development).
    See the Flight Manual for more details about the aircraft, its systems, armament and combat employment for free.

    DCS F-5Е Quickstart manual (ENG)

    DCS F-5Е Flight manual (ENG)

    DCS F-5Е Краткое руководство (RUS)

    DCS F-5Е Руководство пилота (RUS)

    There are minor imperfections in the systems’ operation at this early access stage of the product, but they will be polished out in the nearest time.

    Re: Belsimtek: F-5E Tiger II

    Just played around with the F-5E. Ton of fun! I'm learning how to come to grips with the radar system, but it doesn't seem particularly difficult. Not too many controls for it.

    Lot of fun to fly!
