Hi. I'm new here, normally fly DCS. I've set all up, but the way snap views work in IL2 makes me motion sick. Also annoying that they always come back to the center and not where I was looking before. Any chance to fix them?

Thanks! I am not complaining about the pre-set angles (yet, but it will be useful to change them later). The whole "cinematic sequence" of turning head to 6-o-clock, then back ahead is happening too slow IMO. I like the instant snaps as in DCS. And in IL2 they do come back to the central view, ignoring previous panning, not as a bug, but a feature. In DCS I default to center for takeoffs/landings, but pan the camera much higher during dogfights. And snap views (straight up, left 6, right 6) don't upset this POV. Maybe a spoilt habit, but I don't like TrackIR (it either shakes, or lags).
I dont know what Trackir version you have, but there is quite good profiles on the download section. I think they are all for TrackIr 5. Maybe worth a try?
My personnal profile has a dead zone in the center, just enough i can scrath my nose. And (because i like to keep my head facing foward), when it starts moving around its very precise and as i move to the sides it speeds up, giving me a very natural movement. When i look straight foward it doesnt "jump" as you report.
Thanks, I'll tweak some more. It is actually FaceTrackNoIR that I am trying to use...
