    Been a while...

Must be 2 or 3 years since I last played this game. Had some great memories playing online, especially one mission I remember had lots of AI who you could find out where they were on the Tab menu. Used to have to bomb those big airfields near to London to stop pesky reds spawning there. Good times! Imagine that things have moved on a bit by now though - I'm seeing refs to secret agents and SAR in posts!!!!

Main question though is when is TF releasing the "old" new patch. AFAIK they said in December it would be like January or something? Did I miss it? Reason I ask is I have to reinstall everythinganyway. Would rather just be lazy and let steam do its stuff than go through all the hassle I remember from before.

    Welcome back Slam.

Things have changed since you last played no doubt.

The consolidated patch for CloD, which will be available via Steam, is not here yet but should be with us very soon.

Come on don't be lazy get the TF patches installed and get back into the action. You know it makes sense!

You have plenty to catch up on...The installation process is the same...just more patches...let us know if you have any issues with it...You'll get plenty of help here and on TS to get you through it ok...Read the news on the TeamFusion team and what they are doing in the future...Its very exciting times ahead for CLOD...

Welcome to the Community and Forums JG54_Slam ...~S~

I recommend getting in the online server as soon as you can take off if that's ultimately where you'd like to fly...I flew single player for 30 minutes before I took the plunge...The ATAG online server is a great environment to learn and there's not really any damage you can do in there as a new player.....It is also mission based just with real players trying to foil your objectives...If you are concerned then pick an airstrip furthest from the front line (there always is one or two on every map) and get some alt before you go hunting...You'll get tagged a lot but there are tricks you learn out of pure desperation in those first few weeks that you'll be able to use later...I know cos I still use the same tricks I learned then too because they work...and never underestimate the stall to get you out of a tight fix...That sometimes works too...

TeamSpeak is optional but you'll learn a whole lot faster with it even if you say very little once you are on the server...You are quite welcome to just listen if you feel more comfortable with that....so you don't actually need a mic either...Try it and see!

Um. Sorry, No. We had TF4.3.1.2 when I left...

To Vampire - thanks for the welcome. Define "soon" - I was under impression from the Team F announcement that it would all be signed and sealed in January - patch would follow "within a few weeks". Shouldn't it be here by now?

    Re: Been a while...

    Hi Slam.

    Only TFS know how "soon".

The legal stuff following the TFS/1C agreement may have taken longer than expected.

We are all in the same situation and waiting for the new patch and sim content to arrive. TFS have done truly great things in resurrecting this sim and I for one am happy to wait for the new stuff. Still having so much fun and enjoyment from the sim as it is.

    Re: Been a while...

Ok. Fair enough. I've seen multi million dollar agreements signed faster, this is a mod team. Can't be that complicated.

Anyhoo I got my answer. I will go play something else and wait like everyone else.
