Can someone tell me exactly what the installer is doing so I can do myself manually? I keep getting 'access to the path is denied' as I did with the original installer and, as with the first one, it does not bother saying which path it is having trouble with. Yes I am running as administrator, Yes all directories are open for everyone to use, Yes my User Permissions allow everything.

does 3 things:
1.- finds the clod install path from the registry (to give it as default on the install dialog).
2.- puts 1 file on the mods folder
3.- replaces the parts\core\maddox.dll

That's it.

Well this is a very good mod concerning flight characteristics, graphics are fine the only thing I didn't like is gun sound from inside british cocpit. I find default gun sound better. Is there a way to change just that?

I am afraid there is no way of changing the .303 sound, but perhaps you find this video interesting:



It seems the new sound is absolutely spot on with how the Brownings sounded like in real life... (above vid around 1:40)

1.Я понимаю про G ----cогласен. Но когда даже при полностью выкрученном триммере РВ самолёт почти не реагирует (и это на взлёте) --бред.
2.Создать перегрузку --G на маленькой скорости , при которой бы отваливались бы элероны и т.д -бред.
3.Так увеличить обратную связь с джостиком , что я из простого пикирования двумя руками еле смог выровнять в горизонтальный полёт --бред.Я плачу.

Thanks for the help, i really like CoD but i cant navigate.. is there a way to navigate, i have seen the nav tools but dont know how to use, mainly i like to fly ju88. and also staying on course is tiring and boring, is there a way to hold your headings and alt? without these 2, the game is unplayable to me.

Search for Autopilot.

Navigation can be a bit tricky and Autopilot won't solve that because you still need to be aware of where you are all the time. Best solution is to familiarise yourself with the map, know right from the start where you are, be familiar with the key visual navigation cues like woods, towns, coastlines, rivers, keep track of them and use zoom when necessary. Low level navigation can be hard but knowing the key landmarks in advance (make them waypoints) and being sure to recognise them and correct course when necessary is vital as is plain old fashioned hard eyeballing.

If you play on line its never boring, just go by the hairs on the back of your neck because we are up there looking for you

I will be surprised if you don't like the TF patch. Tell us your problems and we may be able to help, also include your PC spec (processor, video card, memory, Windows version, screen resolution, in-game video settings - a screenshot is easiest for that).

Am new to this sim and have applied the patches so that I get 3.01 in the bottom right corner when I start up.

But this statement has me confused at 72 years of age:

- As with TF 3.0, replacing the file "parts\core\maddox.dll" with the desired version (stock, 3.0 or 3.01) is enough to switch between versions.

Could you please explain it a little further ? I'm not as sharp as I used to be.

Everything seems to be working fine.

I wouldn't worry about it. nobody plays stock online.

if you backed that folder up prior to your patching you could slip it back into the game and play stock version.

I notice that some of my missions that worked in the orginal don't work now.

I modified some to do a ground start.

Anyone else getting half second stuttering above cities? I tried lowering building amount and detail but that didn't help!

Might be your anti virus.... mine has a "gamer mode" and you can also disable, I do both... makes it a little better

1. Lowering of level of a destroying overload - I allow though BR.20 had a metal wing. But when the airplane doesn't react almost to a full deviation of the trimmer of an elevator (on take-off! ) - it is wrong.
2. To create an overload-G at a low speed at which ailerons etc. would fall off - it is unreal.
3 . So to increase force feedback with joystick that I hardly could bring out of simple diving in horizontal flight - is unreal. I cry!

They have released just one patch and one mini patch, both should be installed quickly and effortlessly.I asume you are running a 400mhz Pentium II with 128 mb of RAM
