Win 10 Creator Update First look

Nothing to be afraid of, nothing to crow about... so far.

    Download-less than 1 hour.
Install - Less than 1/2 hour.
Use - Game mode provided no FPS performance change on my system in Fall Rot 2.3, Spitfire 1A around the flagpole at LeHavre.
Problems - None. (Nvidia Control panel 3-D settings reverted to default.) CP Re-set procedure for CLoD SLI setup same as before update.

NVidia drivers were not changed by the update. Version 378.78 worked fine before and after.

Re: Win 10 Creator Update First look

The only thing I found was that the control panel was finally culled. WE no longer have programs -we have "apps" - how very yoof!

So a bit of relearning where to click to do stuff required.

    Other stuff

    Game mode is Nerfed.

We now have the ability to make ducks out of Spheres in 3D

Running The latest Nvidia drivers causes no issues in BOS (it has enough problems right now with patch 2.009) and DCS.

    Clod also seems stable.

    Regards

Same here, no major issues w/ installation.

Had to reinstall wireless card drivers.
Connection drops after install. To be fair, it's an older card and due to be changed soon.
    Tip:
    Memory XMP (if used)
-Prior to install, reset to stock memory settings..
You may get a upgrade failed " memory_management issue" notice.
Seems it doesn't like asus xmp settings.

Revert to your xmp settings after upgrade.

-Thrust Master hotas & a CH Yoke.
-Logitech: G710 Plus (Brown), MX mouse & 17 yr old 5.1 speaker system(still great sound but REALLY dusty)

Re: Win 10 Creator Update First look

I've got a noticiable performance drop and ramdom stuttering playing CloD single player and online (other games seems not to be affected) after installing the W10 Creator's update with the latest Nvidia drivers 381.65.

Rolling back to driver 376.33 seems to alleviate the issue but not completly.

Re: Win 10 Creator Update First look

The mouse cursor took on a flattened, backward-rotated look during HD game play (CLoD) and during benchmark programs.

Solved: Windows>settings>additional mouse options>Pointers...Check the "Enable Pointer Shadow" box.
