View Full Version : A few questions about the DCG in 4.3

I've been enjoying COD and actually getting some of my money out of it now that the 4.3 patch is out. The game is "pretty" good now IMO.

The individual missions aren't too bad, but I'm mostly interested in campaigns. I tried the REDUX versions of the original campaigns, but didn't get very far. The high plane count in some of the missions doesn't agree too well with my system (even though I think it should be more than adequate spec wise) and after having the flight leader go down in each of the first 3 missions, I decided to move on to the Enlightened Florist/TF Dynamic campaign.

So far I've only gotten patrol missions and 2 bomber escort missions. Does the DCG allow for ground attack missions? I've escorted a group of 109E4s carrying bombs, but haven't gotten to do the opposite. Will the DCG be expanded in the future, to allow for some more tracking of stats and possibly some more in-depth squadron information/larger scale missions? I recall some older games mixing in generated missions with the occasional historical scripted mission to give the campaign some context.

I really like the dynamic campaign system, with parameters that can be set and a "randomness" to the action. Even so, a little more expanded information and maybe some impact on the rest of the war somehow would make it a terrific game mode for offline players.

The DCG campaign is in its infancy.

We really need to get some members of the community interested in building missions for the generator.

Once that happens, I think you will get a lot more variety. :salute:
