Server advice

Hi,

I’m sorry if this is not in the right section but I’m looking for some information about setting up a game server and this was the only section I could find with a sticky thread related to this topic.

I’m currently in the process of moving over to IL2 COD from another on-line flight simulation with the rest of my squadron and we are interested in setting up a game server. What we had in mind was to rent a VPS and host the game on it but we don’t have a clue if that’s even possible or what the hardware and bandwidth requirements would be to do it. I’m hoping someone might be able to clue me in.

Welcome to the forum!

I can't offer anything more than this little bump but ATAG and others rent servers and run missions on them 24/7 so hopefully one of the server admins will have some advice.

We used to run a server in the early days from a dedi box but i dont think you could run it through the TCadmin control panel from a GSP, link to server how to on 1C forum
