Is there a way to apply filtering to an axis in DCS? My throttle jumps in DCS but I don't have that problem in any other sim.

There is. On bottom right there is a "fine tune" and you can select the ammount of dead zone on the curve.

Will applying a deadzone to a throttle quadrant work in this case? If it does ignore my post...

I haven't had this problem but google searching the ED forums brought up a couple of similar cases.
Make sure you have cleared all axis inputs for throttle other than the one single input you are using. You could also clear throttle inputs under all commands too in case there is some conflict going on (this was most common problem).
One guy had this problem and it turned out to be a dual signal from his controller http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1402145&postcount=20
Cleaning potentiometers has fixed this issue for another and in this thread I came this post on tuning throttle inputs that might help http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=109049
Might be helpful to provide more info i.e. what hotas setup are you using and have you tested for spiking e.g. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=52946&highlight=joystick. Just because you're not having problems in other games doesn't mean your throttle isn't spiking, might be that DCS is more sensitive.
Failing all of that I'd really suggest posting on the ED forums.
Good luck.

Do you have an X-52 pro? Same thing happens for me. DCS is just more sensitive to bad pots. I can see that mine has a little jitter in the x-52 software. The deadzone can help a bit as Lolsav mentioned but I'm still left with some unwanted throttle movement.

It's a CH throttle quad, my 3rd in as many years and they have all had jumping pots on one axis or another. It certainly seems like DCS is more sensitive than other sims.
