I always did run Clod trouble free on my i5-2500k/8Gb/HD7970 setup. :D
Did try the install of 3.0 as been see on the video here posted. But when re-starting I could select a trainings mission, the waiting screen was showing up and then it went all black.
So I did get rid of all the ATAG patches en reinstall Clod again, but now still have the same problem, what did the ATAG mod changed?
Did run all the software from the redist map only the GDF failed to work.

The TF (not to be confused with ATAG) patches only change one file (maddox.dll) in your install folder and add a few others.
I don't think your issue is related to the patches but rather something like the dreaded windows update being installed.

Between working and non working was only the installation of the 3.0 and 3.01 after that Clod was KO, So these patches did something, which is in my case not positive.

If you did a "verify game integrity" on steam, you have the vanilla version installed.
If you have the vanilla version, the "my documents\clifs... - MOD" folder is not being used but the original "my documents" one.
These two rule out anything MOD related which is why I'm saying there's something else going on.

Sorry do not know what Vanilla is, but I have only one Clod installed. After the failure I deleted all the Clod and installed back Clod by Steam download.
One part is in the steam folder and a 1C softclub folder is in my documents. That 1C softclub is containing Il-2 sturmovik clifs of dover and Il-2 sturmovik clifs of dover -Mod folder
When there is no mod, Clod is working fine but after installing the mods it went wrong. Should I delete the 1C softclub folder in my documents???
Did read lots of failures are because of a missing .dll

Vanilla = the CloD u get from Steam only (no patches).
Ok so the newly downloaded CloD works. That MOD folder is there from the last time u tried to patch. U can just delete it. It doesn't affect the "Vanilla" version because the "Vanilla" version only uses the other 1C SoftClub folder (without MOD at the end).
I'm not sure why your patched version didn't work. Once u install CloD from Steam run the game and open a single player game (u don't have to finish it just get it started). That will make sure everything is working in the "Vanilla".
Make sure that Steam Cloud is OFF and that auto updates are OFF for CloD. Then apply the 3.0 patch and once again run the game and open up a single player game. Do this for each patch and it should work. U will need to set all your settings for video, audio, and controls and loadouts. Once u get all that working make sure u save copies of ur user.ini (holds all your loadouts and convergence settings) and whatever file u have saved with all your control settings (or the confUser.ini I think is the default file unless u create your own) in a safe place. Saves a lot of time when u need to do a clean install.
There is the possibility is that a patch u downloaded might have somehow corrupted. U could try downloading a new copy of the patch and see if that works.

First of all thanks for helping and have the patience.
So you strategy is delete Clod and download back again [from DVD or Steam, what is the best inhere????] After every mod instal, run Clod to see in what it is wrong.
Ok but I did that so that must be direct after the 3.0, what to do then, new download of the 3.0 is there another link?
Steam cloud was unchecked as explained in the TF patches by ATAG-lewis. Steam auto updates were still on?? So I will uncheck that also.
I did not change the config files because I was forgotten to do that after the reinstall so it is all virgin.

Yes I would delete every CloD folder from Steamapps and My Documents and re-download from Steam.
If u have a registry cleaner like ccleaner (available here http://download.cnet.com/CCleaner/?tag=main;pop ) this would be a good time to run it.
I would then download from Steam as u will get the last official version of CloD.
Yes auto update must be set to "Do not automatically update this game".
Get the patch from wherever the link sends u to. Just be aware that sometimes a download can get corrupted. That can result in a bad install or a failed install.
Run the game after downloading from Steam and after each separate patch installation.

No I do not have message or popup window showing a DLL errors, but I read that a lot of people do have problems mainly because of missing DLL!!!

Did a complete reinstall only now on my windows8.1-64 boot and not the Win7-64. First there was no reaction but after downloading a file from the 1C forum the 3.0 did work. Only problems right now is that my F1 and F8 view are not working, still looking at the rear on F1 and planes nose when on F8 view. :grrr:
And my MS-FF2 en Simped not recognized. Rest is I think a matter of good search here and at 1C & Simhq.
