Doesn't appear to be the most stable projectile design, wonder why they use those?

I've been reading about it. They are attempting to send 10 guided projectiles per minute at targets out to 100 miles away. And it will reach the target in 6 minutes. They are wanting to replace 5 inch guns. New carriers will use an electromagnet contraption to launch fighters thus eliminating the steam powered piston catapult that's been in use forever.
