O.K. gang gonna take the plunge here !

Actually my lack of Blue knowledge is kind of a hindrance especially when red out numbers blue

So I think I'll start with the JU-87 (unless you guys have a better one:

Before I take your in in the "Training" channel: what items should I have mapped to my controller (so I dont fumble with the mouse)

I plan to make a separate profile for each aircraft (as well as gunner position)

When I have these items mapped I'll holler on the blue channel and get started
Be easy on me please, as I have been very loyal to the King !

and Dutch no calling me "Von-Knuckles" O.K. ??????

If you like stukas(dive bombers)I recomend the Ju88, with 28 50kg and 4 250kg bombs and twin engine cem fun its hard to beat:happy

Recommend the Ju-88.

Fast and carries more explosives by weight than the 111.

The Stuka is fun but will be much better when we have true ground support role for it.

The 88 is fast and you can dive in that bad-boy.

But for Stuka I have a throttle quad with water and oil rads mapped. The water rad you have to hold open if you map a key to open and close it - engine has to be running and you must press and hold until its open. Its an indicator on to right side of dash board I think with a letter K on it.

Toggle fuel cock on
Toggle bombs armed
Select next bomb bay
Select previous bomb bay

Jettison bombs (In case you need to fight it out before getting to target)

No landing gear needed :happy

Normal weapons fire keys.

Toggle DIVE BREAK

Supercharger off/on (engaged aprox 3200m)

I use the mouse to open the bottom bomb sight window through the floor before taking off.

After lift off drop the prop 10-15-20% and that's probably all you need.

Believe it only has rudder and elevator trim.

Lower left or left side there is a secondary altimeter with a red needle - you can adjust this. 850m or so is default is but we live only once try 500m :D. Set this to when you want your dive break to retract and automatically pull you out of the dive and drop your bombs.

Procedure calls for closing both rads prior to going into dive. Pass target on your left side then hard roll over to that same side while closing rads. Start your dive and set the break. Look though your sight (lean to it) and line up target.

You can drop in 3 modes. Center weapon alone. Or 2 on each wing (total of 4) together. Or all three.

Lower tight side you will see 4 red lights. Wing bombs.
To the right and above a single red light. Center bomb - can be seen though window on floor.
Or toggle all lights on and it will drop them all. Use previous and next bomb bays for this selection.
Remember to arm them.

Doc That was exactly what I wanted:

I'll set up a profile, fiddle with it, then go on to the JU-88

Thanks

What I wrote above is for the Ju-87 indeed my friend. Ju-88 is a Cadillac with 22 inch rims compared to the 87.

The 88 can take down 6-7 ships on a single run/load-out.

On an 88 set series mode. Series quantity at 4. Series delay at 0 so they all 4 go at once. After each drop got to catch that bomb bay door so it wont close.

So you got 32 bombs divided by 4 so that equals 8. Give yourself some wiggle room for missing and you have easily the ability to eliminate 6 or 7 ships in a single 88 WITHOUT interference from any reds or top shelf fighter escort.

But to be clear the info provided above is my take and method on the 87 and that is replicated from the Keller Institute of Stuka Technology.

The 88 instructor was Major Borris.

Don't forget to cut your throttle on the 87 and close rads during your dive. Some get away with it but I have not chanced it. You come in steep on a target you will pick up some speed in a 90 degree dive.

I have close everything and cut the throttle and deployed dive break after picking up some big speed and works well for me.

Lean into gunsight and line your victim up on the cross hair and if you need to adjust right / left I use my rudder peddles.

Once you nose up I push my rad levers up into the open position and throttle up gently to get out of the area.

Also you can go redneck and open the canopy, lean out the left side like I do with your arm resting on the edge holding my beer can and wearing my oily Valvoline hat backwards. :rodeo:

Give my Rebel yell all the way down in the dive since my siren isn't working. You can see your target better that way.

Or through that hole in the floor between your feet if you like.

We ALL know you recommend the Ju88 BORRIS!

Actually the Ju87 is great for starters. CEM and bombing are easy. Just use low prop pich, fly over your target, pull the dive break and then point the cross hairs at exactly what you want to die. Bombs will release automatically and you will automatically pull up as well. You'll want to cut your throttle so you don't over-rev though.

But the Ju88 has more bombs, the only trouble is that you have to deal with bomb bays, series length, dispersion, high/low/dive fuses and an extra engine.

If you're going to learn a 2 engine plane the ju88 or bf110 are the easiest to learn in.

"you will automatically pull up as well"

does that mean the plane its self will pull up, OR I will automatically pull up cause I wont wanna die ?
