I cannot figure out why my rockets will not fire, I have no problem bombing or firing the guns, but selecting rockets, selecting guns safety switch and still they refuse to fire. Anyone got a clue on how to launch the things?

Thanks.

From memory you do have to hold the button down for at least a couple of seconds for them to fire. Could that be the issue?

It had me stumped for a bit initially too as it's not part of the quick start guide. If you're going from cold start you'll also need to select the rocket salvo selection switch highlighted in red:

When you flick open the red cover the switch will be in a neutral position. If you right click it'll go up to a single fire position - when you hit the rocket release button a single rocket will be fired no matter how long you hold the button down. If you left click so the switch goes down to Auto then rockets will fire as long as you hold the button down.

Thanks will give this a go.

Yep make sure you hold for a couple seconds. They are quite difficult to aim and I tend to be short more then not.

Excellent that worked.

Another Question, how come it gets into a ground oscillation too easily when on the runway, use the nose steer and it then skids down the runway at times when landing???

Doesn't seem to do that for me. When you're coming in to land make sure your airbrake is deployed. Once you've touched down just use your rudders initially to keep straight down the runway - they'll work until your speed drops to 50 knots. I'd avoid using the NWS before this point. If you're still going straight once you've slowed down to about 50 knots you can tap the main brakes a few times to bleed of most of the rest of the speed. Don't hold down the brakes or you'll end up skidding probably. You should be able to use NWS from then to control the plane without any incident.

Works thanks, was employing nws too early. Is there an airbrake gauge or do i have to listen for wind noise?
