Picked it up and it looks great but there are lots of bugs.. I wonder where I have heard that before?

Another diamond in the ruff, lets hope Deep Silver can make it run online as good as it looks.

Aye, very buggy indeed. Can't even get through the training section without some movement bug cropping up or not being able to get more Ammo. Very dead in the water atm. Saying that, it seems to run better than Arma 2

Infantry portion of the game is VERY buggy, try the armor element though. I built a quick mission with King Tigers vs T-34s and it was intense to say the least.

When the shells from the T-34s hit off your hull it'll almost make you jump out of your seat. Play with third person views off so you get the full claustrophobic experience of being a tanker.

The graphics looked realy cool in the trailer, better than armma2 it seemed, better then red orchestra too maybe. What do you guys think?

I will have to buy this and download UP for 1046 as, according to this, we will have to wait a while to play CLOD the way it was intended.

graphics are fine in most modern games...Iron front 44 is a real tactical combat sim unlike RO2 which is call of duty like shooter (nothing in common with original RO)...I deleted RO2 from my PC....
BTW Im still waitin a good bargain to buy Iron front 44 (though I tried a copy of my friend who bought it in Germany)...Do you know guys, where I can buy this game (download-able copy) in US dollars (always cheaper than in EUros) via net (paypal)? Cheapest I could find is 27 euros via steam....darn

EDIT: OK I found it for 30 bucks

The game was reviewed by redpiano over on the RoF forums and here are some of his comments ....

[quote] Iron Front liberation 1944

Pros
-Russian and German campaign
-Four flyable aircraft
-Three tanks per side
-Many soldier types
-About 4-5 guns per side
-3 maps included+1 variation
-Many single scenario missions to play
-New interface
-Multiplayer support with many servers(mostly european)
-Standalone game, ArmA 2 is not required
-Damage model, Tanks and vehicles
have modeled cockpits, armor plates, engines, track etc.
that can be damaged/disabled.
-Excellent detailed models for all of the soldiers, weapons, cockpits and vehicles

Cons
-Small selection of weaponry, armor and aircraft
-Campaign gives poor performance because of the amount of AI used on certain missions
-Some of the sound is very poor and sounds weak
-Certain missions can be very difficult because of stupid AI

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Another update on the AI, turns out there's a built in Advanced AI module so the guy I was playing with earlier that had the awesome AI had edited the blitzkrieg missions to utilize the AI, I haven't figured that out yet but I did test it in a quick mission in the editor and it is much better with the module, they'll take cover, crouch, lay down and stay near walls/bushes/trees etc. when moving, they also use the lean to peek around corners and such. Just a quick example without making a video.
