Hi,
The other day I messed up my install of CLOD. I made the mistake of putting a backup folder in the games main folder. Bottom line is I lost all of Philstyle's airfield templates and the link to them is now not working, says domain has expired.
Can someone give me a working link to where I can re download them?
Thanks

I will see if we can host them on Storm of War for you.

I don't know where Phil's are but there are some here:

These have dedicated section spawn points though.

ps Phil I can never find your website!

pps I managed to find a picture of Phil chasing after some 'einkills

ppps There were some BoB locomotives and 92 Squadron had one named after them.

Yes. Most of them have diverse spawning patterns mostly on the runways. I started putting some alternative patterns up too, though. There are fairly thorough instructions on doing your own. It's a bit fiddly, but easy once you're used to it.

The nice things about Phil's is that he was (is?) laying down lovely spline-thingies to give textures to the taxiways and dispersal areas (like Ajay tried back when we were all thinking that this sim was going to be so great once we worked out how to do stuff! Ah the innocence! Eg. 13736 - see http://airwarfare.com/sow/index.php/downloads/viewcategory/59-templates-scenery)

Unfortunately, inevitably, spline roads don't work. :(

(TF to the rescue?...)

Actually they do work- in SP mode
It's just in MP that they don't:doh:
Yes we are aware of this issue (and a few others that similarly don't work quite the same in MP)

Work, but most of times vehicles run outside of roads - the splines was broken after some MG patch. :)

Yes. I should have been more specific. The spline textures don't show up in DF missions. In fact, the .misroads file that the splines (seem to) generate when you save a DF mission in the FMB crashes my game when I try to load it up either in a server for testing or reopen it in the FMB. I haven't tried them for SP missions.

That spline "messed" roads "in action":

In FMB was set for the bicycle run 2 meter over this concrete street, turn left and stop in front that house, but...

BTW - Or this guy drank a very hot tea... or his "exhaust pipe" is in wrong place ... :D

The trick cyclist!

On my squadron's official "ops" mission three or four weeks ago, a slightly over-creative mission builder had a cyclist travel a few yards at a base while pilots got their temps up. Well, the cyclist turned and went across the runway, causing a three or four plane pile-up. Priceless! :D
