Well it is possible but at that angle and with an engine out it would be fairly hard to keep in the air.

Here's a WWII Anson collision where the two planes made it to the ground.

Though you have to admit those German gunners were brave. That top gunner is still manning his gun! ;)

There's a "pilot anecdote" that Satoru Anabuki "landed" over a B-24 in Burna, in Octuber, 1943.

That is quite funny. Also it is a testament to the games physics/collision handling which is I have to say miles better than cliffs

It's nice to know that when a ram happens both planes will suffer fairly realistic damage (even if not perfect - Dat wing sticking through the other one:)) and that's it's not up to the gods of ping/netcode. I even have my doubts about it being an online issue in Cliffs, as I've seen collisions offline where one plane continues flying unscathed and the other one explodes hollywood style.

It's just a shame that the actual BOS damage model is very much sub par.

EDIT: There was a nice comparison video of slow speed collisions in BOS vs DCS vs COD and it showed how the COD collisions at low speeds just snap off as if it happened at high speed. Unfortunately I couldn't find it. I think it was in spanish or Portuguese and it was referenced on the Il2 bos forums.... darn can't find it. If anyone knows what I'm talking about please post it here....

Ive seen the video before. As stated back then when the video was shown, there is a diffrence between Dammage Model and Colision Model. Dammage model is much more than 2 wings touching. The ROF/BOS model is much more simple because it has much less internal dammages as Cliffs. As for colision detection its another issue and we in Cliffs have experienced strange behaviours from time to time.

Either of the sims is far from perfection on that subject but i am a believer of what our magicians of Team Fusion can do. Im hoping its a question of time to see some issues addressed and we, as users, get a even better combat flight sim.

I cant forget how much path as alredy been walk and, again, i hope its a question of time to get more and more "goodies" from TF. Now ... if MysticPanda could get some more updates on development would be great! The last one was one month ago... :-)

I agree. I should have stated that a bit more clearly. I believe CoD damage model is far better than the BoS one. But detection and collision are done better by BoS. I wish I could just pick and choose and make a new perfect sim out of all of them (+DCS)! :)

Personally, I enjoyed how the bomber just went about it's business and dropped a bomb load even with another plane stuck in it's wing lol

Am I the only one who thinks this song would fit perfectly with the video?
