Guten Tag, my german friends,

I have a very special request I would like to ask from the german community.

I tried to find english documentaries on Willy Messerschmitt and I the only one I found was this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4GbwAAAn2F8#t=20

What I would like to do is to upload a version of this video with english subtitles, so the non-german speaking part of the world can get to know this incredible aircraft designer.

However, Mein Deutsch ist nicht besonders gut, which is why I humbly request your help.

Subtitles are available, so I would like to ask if any of you would be interested in helping me translate these subtitles so I can add them to the video using video editing. I know it's a 40-minute long video and it's a lot of work, but if many people are willing to give a hand we might save a lot of time with your combined efforts.

Altough I really think it is a good idea to put that on the net with english subtitles, translating 40 minutes of text is a HUGHE amount of work! Normaly, TF-Updates cost me about an hour to translate and that would maybe be 5 minutes of text...?

Have you checked if that thing is not avaiable as a DVD or something? with the subtitles already added?

the youtube translation is totally messed up and there is no other way to translate it from scratch. if the video length would be only a few minutes long, be my guest! but translating a video of around 40 minutes, takes hours. probably half of a working day. for a little payment (via PayPal) i will do it for you. one part of the profit i will donate to ATAG then and everybody is happy. the translation comes as a xml, smi, svg, CSV file (or all together) that can be added in almost every video editing programm. if you are still interested, send me a PM. :thumbsup:

The translation is 3/4 done so far, thanks to the help of Blooddawn1942 and indiaciki from the BoS forums.
