Hi guys,

First off would like to say thanks for all of the hard work. I've just got back into flight swimming after a multiple year break. I started back into IL2 1946 and I'm now firing up Cliffs of Dover again. I've installed all of the mods so far and I'm very impressed. I'm seeing posts about new aircraft, which are always welcome, but I was wondering about static objects and things. I'm looking at this from the perspective of a missions builder. Must say the lack of ships in the game was always a bit of a disappointment to me. I remember way back (in the days of numerous two weeks jokes on Ubi-Forums) that there was load of work went into trains and stuff. So to find there are no ships like Destroyers or Battleships, or even barges (if I remember right) was a bit of a let down.

Is this something that is being looked at? I get the priority of the aircraft - with this being a flight sim - but I like to vary the targets a bit. One day a Torpedo bomber would be fantastic. This is one of the things that keeps pulling me back to IL2 1946 - with the mods - that I can make such a variety of missions now, especially now that it can utilise triggers properly. I'd love it if/when CLoD had a tenth of the aircraft that IL2 has.

I'm loving the work and the sound of a flyable Wellington is like music to my ears. As I'm sure many do I have a long wish list of flyable aircraft!

I'm also wondering whether people would be able to post some links useful guides for CLoD?

Thanks again,

OD

~S~ Lewis,

Thanks a lot for the links, I will check them out when I get home. The start up procedures may even get me into a Blenheim...now what have I gotten myself into!?

I'm certainly having fun relearning and smoking some raiders around Dover ;)
