I have been working on this 4 about 2 weeks, googled my brains out. Have played the Ist IL-2 with no problem. With Clod I can't seem 2 b able 2 map my joystick(X-52 Pro). Can't find settings 4 my views, gun's, and many other regular settings in the options for the game. IL-2 was quite simple compared to this. TIA.

If you want remap views on joystick HAT go to OPTIONS > CONTROLS > PAN VIEW and SNAP VIEW keys category (you switch between this two modes with F9, similar the old il-2).

For guns go to OPTIONS > CONTROLS > AIRCRAFT keys category and look for:

CloD controls looks extensive because provides controls for 8 engines aircraft, but for fly a Spitfire you use around 40, and are more detailed (but no much) allow you do things like toggle gunsight light, adjust gunsight for enemy wingspan in British fighters for example.

I suggest you set commands for one aircraft in particular - some commands work different for different aircrafts. For example what is basically need for Spitfire:

Welcome to the community and forums Trebor ....~S~

You checked the 'Key dedication' section of the 'Beginners Guide'.....?

I don't think that you need any special program or X52 disc to get that particular stick working in CLOD....I think its plug and play...

Also the difference between IL-2 and Clod is the same as between IL-2 and Pacman...I mean to say that they are 2 totally different games...CLOD is by far more complex than IL-2....Don't expect them to be similar....or setup similar either...A lot of us here come from IL-2 so we know exactly where you are coming from....Its actually not a bad thing..Just usually takes a bit more time to setup that's all...The benefits are huge...Stick with it buddy..

Anyway...

Checkout the 'Beginners Guide'...for info and tips...It will save you a heap of time in getting up to scratch.....and its a really fun learning curve anyway..

When I went to options>keys> controls> category I didn't check the drop down box. I just followed your suggestion and all of the settings that I was looking for are there. Thank you'll for your help.

Finally mapped my joystick. 1 problem though, I mapped views to pov1 and the hat on the stick and they don't work in the game. Just thought of another problem, can't find saitek x52 app or the place where you can go to set dead zones on the stick.
