Should support 100 players online and I'd say it'll play like PR i.e. a nice mix between realism and fun and some of PR's clunkiness fixed up. If you like Arma 3 but want something a little easier to dip into this would definitely worth checking out.

SQUAD is a tactical multiplayer shooter created by Offworld Industries with a heavy focus on teamwork, communication and realism. The game allows players to fully experience the rigors of modern day combat, from the tactics and tension of maneuvering, all the way to the action and intensity of a firefight.

Inspired by the Project Reality modification for Battlefield 2, the game places its players in a realistic environment and encourages them to work together. Doing so tends to be an excellent way to build an immersive and visceral combat atmosphere. To those familiar with PC shooters, the best way to describe this would be as a middle ground between the Battlefield and Arma series.

This is footage of my very first game in SQUAD on the Afghanistan map. For those who didn't know, SQUAD is a new tactical first-person shooter that aims to provide a teamwork-oriented, realistic and fun experience. Think of a mix between Arma and Project Reality, but with its own special twist. By pure luck, I happened to join a squad lead by Tomabova. This is where my SQUAD adventure begins...

In this video, I take more of a support role this time as a combat medic. I understand the game is still in alpha, so the medic detection system is a little finicky at times. Once again, I had the luck to find a good bunch of guys... we just steamrolled the map.

Just curious but what's different about SQUAD verses ArmA 3? I mean IF you were selling SQUAD, how would you put it up against ArmA 3?

Squad tries to sit in a middle ground when it comes to realism. It's not trying to make a full milsim experience like Arma 3 but instead be a game with a good dose of realism that requires teamwork to win. So while the weapons handle realistically medics can fully revive people who've just taken a few rounds to the chest - that sort of thing. If you've played the Battlefield 2 mod Project Reality then that's the general vibe to Squad too but without a lot of the clunkiness that went with PR.
