Notice all the 'film quotes' from various Vietnam films in the trailer... PLATOON, APOCALYPSE NOW, etc.

Will be interesting to see what they do.... not sure they'll be able to replicate the reality of the campaign, which was overwhelming US firepower versus VC/NVA who primarily used booby traps and remote detonation mines.

US Platoons were typically sent out just to draw fire... then allowing the US to deploy their artillery/air assets.

Booby traps will most likely be implemented somehow. The Japanese could set up booby traps in Rising Storm.

Rising Storm has some imbalance of weapons with that bolt action Japanese rifles against Garand, BAR, Flamethrower.

As "special weapons" they have only Katanas and ability to make Banzai charge - with results similar to RL against Americans. :devilish:

The multiplayer in the old Vietcong was dammed good, in that had ability to set booby traps too.

There's the old MOD WiP for RO2 set in Vietnam, that change for a standalone game with Unreal4 engine, the "In country", is said not relate with this new announced.

Looks awesome, but I don't think I'll get it. Most of these FPS games are pretty good and they keep me away from CloD! This Battlefield Beta going on right now is addictive, I'm telling you. My joystick is crying in a corner somewhere :(

Would love to have the time to play this game... was a big fan of Red Orchestra 2.

Think the RPG's are a little overmodeled.... they are absolute snipers at taking down choppers in the demo... weren't that accurate in real life.

Not to mention the backblast issues when you are aiming up... would tend to roast your feet.

BIG EDIT: I thought trackIR was more supported... just bought "Insurgency+Day of Infamy" pack because I the product page (trackIR) said it was supported
well.. at least it works with sims
