I've seen complaints over at 1C about the ground modelling but never gave it much thought. As long as I could lurch into the air and, much later, plonk down again on terra firma......then I was a happy super-ace-beyond-compare <cough, cough>. LOL. From the video you posted, I guess those complaints were valid!
