I'm attempting to skin my first plane. I would like to have a map of the template for the 109. I'm aware of the multi-layers but, have struck out in finding any. I have the color coder used to Id parts of the plane but a map template is really much better to work from(ie ROF and BOS) Forgive me If I've missed the post with this info.
I use Photoshop cs5 and Illustrator and have DDS add on along with all NVidia tool sets.
Also, Is there a faster way to see completed work without going into the game?

Thank you for your time

Hi Austin. The first thing i must warn you is about the Massive Bug which came with Team Fusion 4.0. See what i mean here: http://theairtacticalassaultgroup.com/forum/showthread.php?t=6436

After that i wish you the best of luck on making skins :D

I know the question you made it was raised before. But the technich part is out of my league. Ask me about computers and patches, not skins. Eventually one of the wizards (major_setback) can assist you.

Check the skins he has made on the downloads section: http://theairtacticalassaultgroup.com/forum/Downloads.php?categoryid=12

P.S. I know you had a giggle

P.S. Found usefull link for you: http://theairtacticalassaultgroup.com/forum/showthread.php?t=15830&highlight=skins+layer

Hi OtterPop
Here are My Fully layered CLOD Templates which have individual Lines,Weathering Markings layers etc.
Feel free to use as you wish, any acknowledgement would be appreciated.
You will need WinRAR[free] to extract the compressed files.
If you need any Skinning help let me know and I will help any way I can,I use Gimp
but the basics are the same as with photoshop more or less.
to view work without going into game, just go to the Options > PLANE select the type you are working on then
select the skin you are doing then exit and re enter, the changes will appear then use the mouse to zoom in and rotate around the model
to view close up detail.
Repeat every time you edit your skin, exit/re-enter ..Voila

Cheers
Keith.

Welcome to the forum OtterPop!

Check your Private Messages. I sent you a download link for the two sets of official single layer templates. These are useful as guidelines when making skins. One set shows combined panel/wear, and the other shows an example of a camouflage pattern, and also shows the outlines of the various skin parts.
The panel/wear templates are unnamed and just have a code number, but there is a list included which will tell you which aircraft they are for.

Unfortunately many of my own and other user's skins are no longer available at Airwarfare (now closed for download due to hacking/spam). Hopefully I will get around to re-uploading my older skins here at ATAG at some point in the future. The same goes for the official templates. Until then - anyone can feel free to send me a PM request for the templates if they want them now.

Cheers, Setback
