Driving down the M11 the other day I noticed that the crated HE111 that's been in one of the hangars at Duxford for years was being moved into the Historic Flying Company's sheds so looks like that will be restored to flying condition eventually.

This plane was unfortunately destroyed in a fatal air crash a few years back. (2003)

Both pilots were killed... not the guy who provides this tour.

There are no flying Heinkels anymore as far as I know.

This one had Rolls Royce engines, because of the shortage of Daimler Benz's... it was actually built after the war.

If I remember correctly the one at Duxford is also ex Spanish air force, not sure if was originally Luftwaffe before that or a later example.
