View Full Version : Recommended book from a British BoB pilot's perspective
If you want to read a first hand account of the Battle of Britain and Malta campaigns from a British pilot's perspective, I can highly recommend this book
First Light - Geoffrey Wellum (http://www.amazon.co.uk/First-Light-Penguin-World-Collection/dp/0141042753)
The BBC dramatisation was a bit pants, but the book is excellent in my view.

Hi tim....I would recommend that one too...My favourite albeit not from a BOB pilots POV is 'The Most Dangerous Enemy' by Stephen Bungay....I have read it twice and on my 3rd reading of it....lol...
Good books here too....'Recommended books thread':

Both of these books are excellent, I've yet to read a better account of the battle than "The Most Dangerous Enemy". First light was a fun read as well.
I'll give it a go once I've finished my current book. Cheers for that..

First Light, The Most Dangerous Enemy, and Spitfire on my Tail are easily my three favourite books concerning the BoB. Absolutely magnificent reading.
