please help

having a problem with patch 4.oo . new to the sim.
down loaded all the patches as zip files.
already installed 3.00 and 3.01
extracted 4.3 and 4.312 to there saved place ready to install.
just haveiveing trouble with 4.00 .
extract them to the folder I downloaded them to no installer nothing. also down loaded the rar version get a load of files
whicth I no I could copy over.
but I go into D: where my game is don't know where to put them.
when I play game it is showing version 3.01

Hi gary, I believe patch 4 is 2 parts - d/l them into the same folder, but unzip and run only the first one which is a self-installer. It's been a while since I went through it all, but there is info here in this forum section that details the install procedure. Forgive the lame answer, I'm sure someone more helpful will be along...
