Hello. So, i'l introduce myself.
I am a person that started to play flight sims at 2013. I started as a keyboard player, cause a joystick is really expensive here. Bought cliffs of dover, but one day later i bought Battle Of Stalingrad and started to play. Noticed that everyone was better than me. Decided to join a squad. I joined the 19te, which, it was fun, BUT they mostly dont play WW2 flight sims, so in january 2015 i left. Bought some airplanes on DCS, and made the mistake (MY OPINION) to buy some modern jets. Tried to join a national flight sim group. Noticed that they were not the kind of person you would want to share your lunch, and left. Started playing solo. Learned how to shot people down (FINALLY). A friend of mine invited to play again WT. Noticed he didn't wanted to play full real battles (SIMULATION?) and started to play that game mode alone. Returned to BoS. Scored a few kills and saw that everyone was buying BoM. I got tired of the east, and saw this mod. Just downloaded, played a little, and i am here. =)

NOW

I dont mind playing German,Russian or British. I like them all.
My favorite planes?
GERMAN
EAST: 109
WEST:190
ALLIES
EAST:Cant say, the only one i had experience with was P-51 and i dont like it. But, i am playing the mod campaing with the hurricane.
WEST:Hum... I would say LAGG-3 cause he's the underdog.
Well, hope you guys like it.
Also, i can speak two languages, which is Portuguese ( My mother language) and English. I would learn German or Italian, but... EXPENSIVE.
By the way, yesterday my joystick had some problems, i'm going to solder some stuff and see if it's working, right now using a Dualshock to play. It's a little too sensitive, but i can manage to. Even if the joystick survive, i'l buy a new one in november this year. Well, going to play CoD now. Later.

Welcome to the community and forums SoapKat..~S~

A couple things to say here....First about the joystick situation...My advice would be to buy a cheap Microsoft Sidewinder 2....They are robust and come up on eBay very cheaply....They are also highly competitive sticks so unless you win the lottery you'll be able to fly with this stick for as long as you like...I still use them

Secondly....as a new player you probably want to get in the airquickly and fight..without the concern of CEM (Complex Engine Management)...Here is my 'easy fly' setup that you can dogfight with and forget about...I use this competitively in the ATAG server today..It is for the Spitfire and Hurricane

Checkout the 'Beginners Guide'...for info and tips...It will save you a heap of time in getting up to scratch.....and its a really fun learning curve anyway..

Windows Management Guide (http://theairtacticalassaultgroup.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3273)

Also try youtube for startup procedures on all the aircraft...

I recommend getting in the online server as soon as you can take off if that's ultimately where you'd like to fly...I flew single player for 30 minutes before I took the plunge...The ATAG online server is a great environment to learn and there's not really any damage you can do in there as a new player.....It is also mission based just with real players trying to foil your objectives...If you are concerned then pick an airstrip furthest from the front line (there always is one or two on every map) and get some alt before you go hunting...You'll get tagged a lot but there are tricks you learn out of pure desperation in those first few weeks that you'll be able to use later...I know cos I still use the same tricks I learned then too because they work...and never underestimate the stall to get you out of a tight fix...That sometimes works too...TeamSpeak is optional but you'll learn a whole lot faster with it even if you say very little....

Hum, it's not like i have problems turning the engine on, basically it's always the same thing with every plane i choosed. And like, i CANT buy on ebay. So, i'l basically wait untill black friday to buy it. Oh, but dont you worry, alredy did some cool stuff with the dualshock. Also, since i have like 1 of experience with flight sim, i really care more about the objectives. Sure it's important, and it's always cool to shoot down the enemy that is trying to destroy the bomber you're trying to defend, but, i started with the il 2,ju 87 and he 111, making transport and bombing missions with my squad. I cant say that i dont like to join the combat, but in my opinion, as far as i played untill now, patrolling the map is just awesome.
Now, about the sidewinder. Well, as you may know, my country economy is gone. Like, we may fix it, we may not. but right now, 10 USD = 50 BRL +- . So, i just cant. Going to wait untill black friday. Also, they dont have this one here. =(
Hum... Now, how did i found CLoD? Well... When i bought the joystick, when i was really bad, so bad i couldn't take off, i started watching these channels: (RELATED TO IL2)
Apeoftheyear
Bis18mark70
[AKA]Kraut

Turned that i liked the game, and bought it.
About my age? Should i say it? Turning 19 28/10.
Well, in case you guys ask, what do i do... I am a web designer, musician and just got into game design.(2D)

I played with Reinhart yesterday, and he was cool.
I am looking forward to this game,
Cheers!
