My ATAG Project

So just incase you missed it here is my little project for ATAG :D

As it is taking a but longer than I was hoping here is a snap shot....

I have only just started but as some of the symbols might be a cause for concern I thought it best to make sure everyone is happy with this :D

I am debating whether to draw the wings by hand or steal them like so...

I am still working on the symbols and debating where to put the ATAG, atm I think either spread across the symbols or above them following the circle.

How about making the insignia look like embossed metal also, and having 'Air Tactical Assault Group' on a metal scroll crossing the very bottom of the insignia?

Obviously I've no idea whether that's possible. I'm rubbish at this stuff. :ind:

If it's to represent more of a badge in metal I like the idea of an embossed surround to the roundel, is there any way to make it look enameled?

I have no Idea what you boffins can achieve with this stuff but appreciate all the effort.

I am a n00b at this stuff, every now and again I fancy playing around with paint.

Yeah I am going to try and get the wings and roundel to merge and I have some other ideas too :salute:

I also plan on creating one winged gif where the centre roundel changes to a outline of a bomb or a fighter to show your perferance, personally given my past I think I will have to go for two aircraft colliding or a parachute :(

Nice that does look good, unfortunately when i try to emboss the roundel looses all colour :(

Anyway here is the next iteration, the colours need work as they currently don't blend in well but I can try and sort that out later :D

Across the top it will have ATAG and on the bottom scroll ICH DEIN, which is german for I serve a bit corny...

All you need to do is apply some lightning effects and a bump map.

I'm sure I replied to this but it's not here, shame, was a devastatingly accurate argument about something, which was presented with a biting wit and ironic humor, an absolutely brilliant, entertainingly funny comment.

Easiest way to clean up is to put a stroke effect around the wings etc which highlights the edges easier to erase...also as already mentioned a Bevel on the scrol would make it looks better imo :thumbsup:
