Warhound was so kind as to share a whole bunch of great documents with us in this post: http://theairtacticalassaultgroup.com/forum/showthread.php?1988-Documents-about-tactics-gunnery-and-bombing

I was reading through the German Gunnery Manual and thought it might be helpful if I shared some of the information contained within it.

Original pages on the left, translations below corresponding page.

This took me 4 hours so please don't ask me to translate the whole thing. :dazed:

If some of our German speaking forum members can point on the mistakes I have made (probably many), please feel free to do so.

Hi Keller,

awesome work translating all this!

As per your wish, some refinements:

page 30:
View this table and the image samples on page 33 with thought and consideration. You see: A projectile has always only o n e v e r y g o o d effect.

page 31:
In the meantime you hit quite well but, it is questionable to what effect.

page 32: (the last sentence you asked about)
But it will often sort itself out because not every type of ammunition is available with and without tracer.

Thanks Keller for your work on this information. I have always been confused as to the effect of the rounds and what I wanted in my belts. This is great!!!!!:grandpa
