Hi all, Update: 28.08.2012
I have been working on the coding of Bomber Command for the past few days. It is looking exciting even to me. It is mostly done and I expect testing to be up on Server 2 next week some time.
Here is a little about the mission so far.
Rich Airfield environments
Dedicated Heavy Bomber, Light bomber airfields
Dedicated Escort airfield
Night time bombing variant complete with Searchlights over targets.
Interceptors They hunt you down.
Human and AI opponents.
Bomber Escort achievements awarded.
Full supply modelling on both sides. If escorts shoot down patrols and interceptors or humans it will affect how many planes come after you in the next mission you fly and thru the course of the overall mission (6 hours).
varification of bombs hitting targets or towns.
Ability to select special missions or random missions if you are in a Bomber
Missions have full briefings
# of bombers must spawn for vaious missions. Or you have to choose smaller misisons.
Long mission flight times. Not everyone is going to make it home.
Opposition advised of primary target They must rely on radar comms to find u.
Missions include moving targets (Ground and sea), factories, carpet bombing towns, docks, ships. Timed targets (bomb before they leave ie, vehicles, trains, ships, planes etc)
Special missions include some timed and some not.

A Special Mission example below.
Example: Generals meeting Intelligence tells us British Command are meeting in a secret location. Spies are on ground to locate exact location within the hour. You are to proceed to holding point and await instructions. We know they will be well defended so heavy bombers are recommended with escort.
There is a secondary objective should you achieve or abort the Primary objective.
Gentlemen! You have 2 hours and the clock is ticking.
Threat: Heavy Flack, Interceptor Fighters, possible fighter patrols.
Initial Orders: Take off and head to () you will receive your target co ordinance then.
Primary Target: Group of buildings in Forrest area at () + Possible ground vehicles.
Secondary Target: Flack production facility in ()
Just doing a bit of recon now on missions. Hope this appeals to the bombing community.
