Hah! You beat me to it Chief. :D

I'm really looking forward to this Channel Map, but wish they'd produce a nice Allied plane alongside the Brandenburg.......not that I'm biased at all...........yes I am. :D

So far the whole modelling of the plane/water looks really good, I wish they'd made the clip just a couple of seconds longer so we could see the floats sink a bit, assuming they do of course.

I'll be buying the Brandenburg and the Channel map as soon as they're released. Really looking forward to it. Almost as much as a new official patch for Cliffs with RAF CEM/Temps sorted out.

:devilish:

Very cool, they have shammed cods ocean guy...

I would love to have waves lapping underneath my blenny :D

Although I have dipped my wing in the water three times this week LOL, the water in COD is crap up close :(

Wow. are the graphics in RoF always that good ? That was stunning. The reflection in the water after it took off was so realistic.
Did that plane have an open rocker engine like that ? Nicely modelled if so.

Yep, cool isn't it? The Albatros' have had the same pushrod/valve animation ever since...whenever. I bought the Iron Cross edition in May 2010 and it was there then.

The bit that impressed me most was the movement of the plane, the reflection and the shadow of the plane all at once on take-off. Very very good indeed.

I have to say that the game on my monitor never looks as good as these video clips though, but I haven't attempted to optimise things in Nvidia cp. I just have 'let the 3D app decide' settings on. Must have a play with that.......

Just updated RoF and bought the Brandenburg.

Top fun. The feel of the plane on water is excellent. I've not flown a seaplane since the Goose and Beaver in FSX a couple of years ago, but it all came back to me pretty easily.

Another good feature is the droplets of water on your goggles as you taxi etc. Very cool.

looking forward to that Channel Map too. Hope it won't be long....

This chap has done a nice vid of it. Was going to do one myself, but I still can't get my picture as crisp as some of these RoF experts.

Agreed, Allie29's video is very nice .... and much better than my brash music video ... but the plane is sweet ...

Ok, so I did my own little vid, just to show that it wasn't any posh film editing techniques which made it look good.

This is just simple Fraps to Windows movie-maker to youtube. No frills. Look at the reflection and the shadow near the water, and listen to the sound of the floats as they hit the water and skim along.

These RoF boys are really starting to get their act together. If they could just make the ground objects just a bit more in keeping with what you see here, well....see for yourself.

This is a better watch than the one with posh editing. I could get into RoF more but am concerned about the cost of keeping up with purchases, this does look tempting for the channel map though.
