Hi all,

I just used TeamSpeak for the first time today. I did not hear any comments throughout the mission, and when I disconnected I realized my user name in Team Speak was in a folder named "Ready", and not in Allies (for whom I had played)

Should I just drag my username to the Allies folder before starting CoD?

Thanks in advance

AFAIK you can change TeamSpeak folder at any time. Just double click on your Allies folder and it is done. TS moves your nick to the folder and you can hear the people from the 'folder'.

Yep! When you start TS, you begin in the ready room and from there you just double click whichever channel you want to be in - in that case allies. You'll see where the other players are. There is a direct connect link once you enter the allied or axis main channel as well, if you start TS and steam first.

Enjoy!

:salute:

S!
Easier if you set up your TS to log straight into the Allied chanel on start-up.
Relatively easy to do via managing bookmarks, happy to help if required

Welcome to the community and forums willermo ...~S~

Hi buddy.....Once you are in TeamSpeak you will only hear anyone who is in that channel (folder) which is usually 1 or 2 folks at the least...that is the 'Ready channel'...You will then need to slide the slider down on the right and see which channel you want to be in...If you are flying allied then use the 'Allied channel' and if axis then use the 'Axis channel'....although you can pick any channel you want....You then click on the name of that channel and you should see your name then appear in the channel alongside the other names in there....You will ONLY be bale to folks in the channel you are in.....This means that you cannot hear the enemies channel and they can't hear yours...

When someone speaks there is a round blue circle in front of their name which will turn green so you know who is speaking....

You have done the right thing to get TeamSpeak running as it is the quickest way to get the information you need as a new player to fly....We have a friendly bunch in there so you should be at home....and also don't feel the need to talk if you don't want to...A few folks have TS running just to hear where and when contacts are spotted and they rarely actually speak themselves if at all....and That's ok...:)

Checkout the 'Beginners Guide'...for info and tips...It will save you a heap of time in getting up to scratch.....and its a really fun learning curve anyway..

Also try youtube for startup procedures on all the aircraft...

I recommend getting in the online server as soon as you can take off if that's ultimately where you'd like to fly...I flew single player for 30 minutes before I took the plunge...The ATAG online server is a great environment to learn and there's not really any damage you can do in there as a new player.....It is also mission based just with real players trying to foil your objectives...If you are concerned then pick an airstrip furthest from the front line (there always is one or two on every map) and get some alt before you go hunting...You'll get tagged a lot but there are tricks you learn out of pure desperation in those first few weeks that you'll be able to use later...I know cos I still use the same tricks I learned then too because they work...and never underestimate the stall to get you out of a tight fix...That sometimes works too...TeamSpeak is optional but you'll learn a whole lot faster with it even if you say very little....
