Look around, you will find the sounds currently in the TF MOD are pretty much the best and most realistic out there :)

I think he means if you click the link in II/JG77_RC post you will see there is a video of a browning MG being fired - so you can listen for yourself as to how they actually sound....

Hi
For no other reason than pure curiosity, what sound/card/speaker/headies are you using on your system.

Creative ZxR, Sennheiser HD429
But the guns sound for other games it's great...
Where are all the CoD sounds, located?
Only voice sounds is accessible for players. The others are locked in SFS files.
Anyway if you want do his own "sound mod" - usable only in "vanila" version of game, the keyword is "keygets.dll".

Could you please, give me more details?
Extract the - "vanila" (STEAM version) - game SFS files, mod then, pack again as "mod".

Note:
You cannot use Kegetys to extract from a TF modded version of the game... only the vanilla game.
So you will only be able to mod the vanilla game... and therefore only single player in the vanilla game will be playable with any of your mods.

I just made a backup of the entire folder, CoD + TF, just in case.
Now, i installed agaain the game, no TF mods, nothing. I dont know how to open those SFS files.
With Winrar and 7zip is not working.
Thank you

I know that. I wonder if i could keep 2 folders / games /
One with TF mods, for multiplayer and no sounds mod, and another clean, for single player and with sounds mod
By the way : the default gun sounds is 10 times better than the TF mod
I tried both versions, with and without TF mod, the aircraft was Hurricane Rotol - Free Flight England.
Without TF mod, the gun sounds much much better / realistic. Can't even compare, it would be as you compare War Thunder vs CoD.

No, they are not "more realistic" - can sound "better" because are more "gamey", people enjoy "Hollywood" effects. :P
.303 don't sound like .50:

But go ahead and make your sound mod. What you need:
1 - Coping the CLoD folder (+TF patch) for some folder outside of STEAM folder, you can continue using this online in popular MP servers.;
2 - Run the STEAM file check for revert the install inside STEAM for "vanila" (last oficial patch).
3 - Now you can extract SFS files with keygets and add the "realistic" sounds, etc, then pack again as mod.
You can use this in SP or create your own MP server and invite people using your mod.
BTW - Add kilometric big fire effects (a la WT) or steam locomotive smoke (a la BoS) can be popular too.

How do I open the SFS files?
I don't understand why TF " locked" all the SFS files.
With the vanilla version, i have only flickering.
Is there a way to install the TF mod, but keeping the original sounds?
