Hello guys,
I just being inform of that story by an aeronautic technician, it is just awsome, this story is almost totaly unknown of the public and even by ww2 enthousiasts :
During the campaign of France, the 3 Farman 223.4 of the Air France company are requisitioned and militarised, these are 4 engines long-hauls airplanes.
One of them, the Jules Vernes has been used for 17 missions during may and june 1940, some are just "Coup", with psychologic effect, like the first air bombardment of Berlin of the history (6 june 1940).
8 x 250kg bombs, 80 x incendiary 10kg bombs and a pair of shoes are dropped on Berlin this night.
