I have an old german SS helmut and on top of that, i recently got my german girlfriends grandfathers iron cross first class.

They were just about to throw it away when I told her that they cannot throw away a piece of history like that so she gave it to me. I was too late for her grandfathers ww2 uniform however as they threw that away when they cleaned the attic a few years ago.. :(
