Operation "Dynamo": the evacuation of the BEF from Dunkirk.
25338
After the break of the Maginot Line on May 10th, 1940 and the surrender of the Netherlands on 14th May, the German High Command continued to develop it's successes. Part of the British Expeditionary Force under the command of Lord John Gort, French units and formations that were part of the 16th Corps, and the remains of Belgian troops stationed in the northern part of France, were pressed to the English Channel.

May 18th, 1940, the commander of the British troops, Lord Gort for the first time openly proposed to consider the evacuation of Allied troops to the British Isles.

May 20th, 1940, German armoured units broke through to Abbeville, troops of the 1st group of the Allied armies (in total, 10 British, 18 French and 12 Belgian divisions) were cut off and pressed to the sea in the Gravelines, Arras and Bruges area's. From the south and south-west against them, the troops of the German Army Group "A" under the command of Colonel-General Gerd von Rundstedt (E. Panzer Group Kleist, Panzer Group Gotha and the 4th Wehrmacht Army), from the east and south-east - forces of the German army group "B" under the command of Colonel-General B. Leeb (part of the 18th and the 6th armies).

Churchill, the Cabinet and the British Admiralty decided to evacuate part of the British Expeditionary Force to the British Isles.

Hi SD MBen,

Thanks for your work on this but.....

The first translated link doesn't contain any missions and the second original link doesn't seem to work.

Please explain how I make this wall work as I'd love to try it out.

Cheers again.

Hi SD MBen,
Still seems to be a bit of a problem, both links come up as Invalid Or Deleted File.
I'd love to try this campaign, but unable to download.
Cheers, Scream.

Flew the first mission of this one. Apart from the wonky translation and not very detailed briefings, it was fun! I did also get low FPS but to be fair I was recording my screen and a track file so that can be expected. I'll try and fly more of this campaign this week.

Apart from the wonky translation and not very detailed briefings

I did a "repack" of this Campaign, replacing some "wonky" text with online quotes, real combat report from Dunkirk air battles, change some pictures in briefings and add 5 slides with useful reminds for Spitfire.

I have not idea how briefings could be more detailed, missions are basically "fly for map quadrant X-Y, intercept this or that aircraft", and IA do what they want, when they want.:D
CLoD campaign menus are very uninspired* and restrictive for text, and is not capable to play sound in briefing like is possible in single missions. The only positive feature in this menu are the slides.

* Compare with XX century flight games menus: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ng-6vp5cMj8

Yes, when it comes to campaign handling and campaign interface there is certainly still some room for improvement in this game!

Hi there,

I was just wondering if the campaign is compatible with TF patch.

Cheers

Yes, that campaign was made in TF 4.13 version.

AFAIK All campaign's done for CloD previous TF "MOD" will work in "MOD" version, because nothing primary on that campaigns (planes, vehicles, etc) was removed from game. Even Desastersoft campaigns that rely on custom DLL's.

I am currently playing the 10th mission of this campaign but can't progress because of battle failure and no next mission option. I tried changing the state.ini in my docs to mission 11 but it doesn't work like it does for other campaigns.
It's the only mission where you start in the air over the English channel with low fuel and you are supposed to shoot down a He111 before he bombs a ship on route X. I shot down the Heinkel and the BF 109 escort then I get the "well done, just like the movies" text and land before my fuel runs out but still get the battle failure screen.

I am really enjoying this Dunkirk campaign and the 10th mission is the only mission to give me the battle failure outcome after clearly completing the objective so any suggestions on getting to the next mission would be appreciated.

I am sorry for the delay in answering your question as I have been on holiday for the last ten days!
I only translated the campaign into English and so will be unable too help you with the technical question.

Is it work on Blitz 4.5?

Yes, all previous missions, campaigns done for CloD work in Blitz.

AFAIK - The only contend from old versions removed - in fact just renamed was that "fake" British Corvette - what affect Heikill REDUX, but was fixed by Cybermat47

Hello all. I am a noob in most online gaming respects so please forgive the likely noobish questions. Is this an additional downloadable campaign not found on the CLoD generic campaign menu? Are there any barriers to playing if I am able to play the Blitz version of the game? Where do I find the online server and is there an already established TeamSpeak channel? If all is a go, can someone point me in the right direction to join in? Thank you and greetings from NYC! Thanks, Chris

This campaign is for offline play.

Is compatible with Blitz - may have to adjust folder paths, don't use - MOD.

For Multyplayer you don't have to download nothing, in CloD main menu click in 'Server" and choose one of (few) available, actually you will find little multyplayer activity.

BTW - You can know what multyplayer servers have players in even without opening the game, there in ATAG forum look a "Active Servers" in the pop-up menu bellow "Donations".

For Team Speak see there:

Hi
So I've downloaded the pack and played the first two missions (which were great), however its not saving my progress. When I come to replay the campaign and the next mission the only option available is to start a new campaign-what have i done wrong?

I'm currently playing the standard RAF campaign-can you only have one campaign on the go at a time?

Thanks
