Hi gents,

as the spitfire is out now, and the DCS WW2 server mostly run only 43 slots, this is way to less :), would it be possible to run a DCS WW2 Server with the power from ATAG, so 80 slots?
Even when the normandy map is not out yet, i think we would get the server full with Spits, P-51, K-4`s and D-9`s.

regards

Little_D

P.S.: could some one make a poll to this, so we can see how many pilots would also fly DCS WW2 on ATAG? Dont know how to do.

Hi Little_D!

We've been wanting to put up a dedicated server for DCS for years, but until there are dedicated server files available for a rack mounted dedicated server (like our own), it's simply not possible to do. All the servers for DCS need some sort of GFX card to run currently. Our machine(s) do not have GFX cards. But once DCS released dedicated server files, I can almost guarantee we'll have one up and running.

We've spoken about it before, but DCS does not have dedicated server support. ED says they plan to add dedi server support, but it's hard to say when that will be released.

Most of the servers on DCS are run on an actual machine with a graphics card, not a dedicated server box.

If anyone knows a way to get DCS running smoothly on a dedicated server, please let us know, but I do not think it is possible because the GUI is always up in the background.
