Hello everyone, I'm new to the forum and recently acquired the Cliffs of Dover and 46, I'm really impressed with the flight model and the sensations when using it, I'm just setting up controls. But there is something that there is no pruning, and it is the head follower, I use the Face Tarck NOIR which already works very well in DCS W and War Thunder, but it did not manage to make it work in IL-2.
Can someone please tell me what I have to do to make it work, thank you very much in advance

Hi

Inside C:\Users\YourUserName\Documents\1C SoftClub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover - MOD

There is a file named "conf.ini"

Make sure the "trackIRUse=1" shows "1" and not "0".

Best of luck and welcome to CLOD :)

P.S. Could be a good idea to search ATAG forum for "Face Track" because i know some posts were made some time ago.

Welcome to the community and forums Rafael ...~S~

Checkout the 'Beginners Guide'...for info and tips...It will save you a heap of time in getting up to scratch.....and its a really fun learning curve anyway..

Windows Management Guide (http://theairtacticalassaultgroup.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3273)

Also try youtube for startup procedures on all the aircraft...

I recommend getting in the online server as soon as you can take off if that's ultimately where you'd like to fly...I flew single player for 30 minutes before I took the plunge...The ATAG online server is a great environment to learn and there's not really any damage you can do in there as a new player.....It is also mission based just with real players trying to foil your objectives...If you are concerned then pick an airstrip furthest from the front line (there always is one or two on every map) and get some alt before you go hunting...You'll get tagged a lot but there are tricks you learn out of pure desperation in those first few weeks that you'll be able to use later...I know cos I still use the same tricks I learned then too because they work...and never underestimate the stall to get you out of a tight fix...That sometimes works too...

TeamSpeak is optional but you'll learn a whole lot faster with it even if you say very little once you are on the server...You are quite welcome to just listen if you feel more comfortable with that....so you don't actually need a mic either...Try it and see!...

Hi, very grateful with the welcome :D, I am impressed with the community that has this simulator, that is worth a lot. And no less impressed with the amount and quality of information that this forum has. I have already reviewed some of what Lewis suggests to me but my head is exploding. On the other hand Lolsav's response was key, although it was hard to see that the "conf.ini" startup file had "trackIRUse = 1", that was hard because I had my hopes on it. But this caused me to continue reading much more, so I found the solution. The problem is that the game is not compatible with the version of Face Track NOIR that I have (1.7). So I started to try other software like FreeTrack, this function was great and I could not believe it, but I did not do it the right way because I had a lot of Lag. After much searching I found a great program, the Open Track. The Cliffs of Dover simply goes great with this program also that I worked correctly also with War Thunder and DSC W. The only thing I lack is that it works also with IL-2 1946, I've looked enough but I have not found the solution :grrr:, If someone else can help me with the latter I would greatly appreciate it and if they have a guide config controls (46).

I also wanted to tell them that I would love to accompany them in TS, but I am not English speaking, if I listen to them, I will improve my little English, jejejeje
And regarding that I tell you that I see little information in Spanish (my native language) on the Cliffs of Dover, I found a thread where Lewis takes the initiative for the translation of the guides what I thought was great. I have to confess that it takes me a long time to find a way to install the 5 patches and run the simulator on my PC, so I record the process and I made a video for the ones that I use just like the simulator, It seems I give you the video link for the Spanish speaking community.

regards
