I was enthralled the entire 33 minutes. Thanks for sharing this, Septic.

Back in '71 or '72 as a young college boy I had a summer job in my native Montreal at Uniroyal. I was just a junior clerk/office sweeper :D , but I recall one morning the Maintenance Scheduler asking the Machine Shop Superintendent, "Hey Ken, remember where we were almost 30 years ago?" Ken's reply, "Yep, huddled down in a landing craft heading for a beach!" The two exchanged a glance, snorted, then turned back to their jobs. Even as a young snot-nosed kid I recognized the significance of that moment. But these two merely shrugged.

Truly the Super Generation. :salute:

That's a great find, incredible to watch.
Having myself been to the Normandy beaches several times, I found the footage of the landings particularly emotive.
To have walked in their footsteps on those stretches of sand and explored the huge gun casements, pondering what it must have felt like back then for those men really does cement in my mind Snappers statement about the 'Super Generation'.
