Instead of the present nose art. :)

Myself and Fatal_Error were looking out for you in the server but we never did find you. Remember, any landing that you can walk away from... :D

Belly landings are definitely safer for very damaged aircraft, but was this the case Hurricane?

Were you too damaged to put wheels down? Are you aware of manual undercarriage or the Emergency undercarriage system? It works well.

Hi Panser,

i flew from Pont Noix or whatever it is called and bombed the hell out of Abbeyville :)

Or too be more precise, i dropped my 4x 250 bombs over Abbeyville. roflmao

No damage DRock, on both occasions i was setup properly to land.

But then smashed it into the deck at the last minute. :sorry:

Well as Lewis always says... As long as you do something they are not expecting...

Try using your elevator trim to land softly. Cranking on the joystick can cause that 'porpoising' effect.(bobbing up and down)

Use this technique to take off too. Way more stable.

Cheers

Never thought of that, thank you DRock. Both times i thought she was down and then she lifted off again.

Of course the instinctive thing to do for a novice is slam the joystick forward to get it back on the ground.

Many thanks for the suggestion, buddy. :dthumb:

You're welcome.

Another good technique for sticking the landing is to close landing flaps as soon as you touch down.

Works great in a Spitfire, but you don't slow down to a stop as fast.

Once you gain more experience, you can let go of these training wheels.

Thanks again DRock, i never fly the Spit, mostly the Blenheim i am trying to learn.

Plus now and again my old favourite the Hurricane. :D

Probably works for all three though, yes ?

I think i am going to be using training wheels for a very long time DRock. :)

I very much appreciate all your advice. :dthumb:

Best regards, :salute:
