Salute,

For those of you who are not familiar with JG51 "Mölders", we are a group of LTAP pilots (Less Than Ace Pilots) who learned early on that grouping up with other like-minded pilots and using teamwork made surviving the fight much easier.

As a group, we have been flying together for over 25 years. We started off back during the early days of Air Warrior on AOL and through the years progressed through Aces High, War Birds, and World War II On-line.

We have as a group been flying IL2 Cliffs now for about a year and a half and we finally feel like we have the gist of the game down where we are able to open our doors to new members.

Most of our current members are above the age of 30 but over the year we have had members a young as 9 join our roster. Age is not an issue as long as the pilot is willing to be part of the team.

our philosophy as a squadron is that teamwork trumps all. Because of this, you will rarely find two JG51 members on at the same time they are not flying together.

What's the point of joining a squadron if you don't fly with the other members?

Squad night for us is Sundays at 8 pm Eastern.... We do however have pilots that fly every night during the week. Ogg and I fly every day at about noon Eastern and would love to find some more wingmen to take the fight to the enemy.

If you are interested I would suggest tagging along with us for a sortie or two just to make sure we are a good fit for you. But regardless of your skill level, any pilot is always welcome to join us.

S!,

I know this is at the top of the list already but I just want to reiterate that no matter if you're a day one player or a 20-year veteran you are all more than welcome to come fly with JG51. You don't have to join our unit to fly with us. We have learned over the years that there is safety in numbers and the more of us there is the longer we all seem to live. This game is not easy and there are no free kills. Teamwork is king and flying along with other like-minded pilots tend to be a lot of fun.

Sundays 8 pm Eastern is our official squad night but we have pilots on every night of the week and Ogg, Viper03 and I all fly during the week starting around 11:30 am Eastern time. If you able and please feel free to hope on our ATAG Teamspeak channel and join us for a sortie or two.

For the most part we are just a bunch of old men who like to talk smake and tend to die alot but we have fun doing it.

S!
I recently got picked up by these guys and I must say they are quite a blast to fly with! I find it more enjoyable than lone sorties, and I don't feel nearly as antsy going into engagements. Above all else its a comfortable atmosphere and a fantastic time. Group flying has also seemed to increase my effectiveness drastically. Would definitely check it out!

Racha out! :salute:

S!,

With a recent addition to JG51 "Mölders" family, we now have a qualified and willing Stafflekaptian to lead up a Bf110 Staffel for us. Just in time for the upcoming release of the 30mm gun pod for this aircraft.

If there are any Bf110 pilots that are looking for a home and want to get in on the ground floor of forming this new Staffel we would love to have you with us. This new Staffel will be working closely with our established Bf109 pilots and has the possibility of being a lot of fun.

We have no skill level requirement, all we ask is that you are a team player. Squad night is Sunday at 8 pm Eastern but we have pilots on every day of the week.

We are also looking for a Lead bomber pilot to head up a Bomber Staffel. If this is your expertise and you're looking for a group of pilots to escort you hit us up because we would love to talk with you.

You don't sound like that on comms do you Teetwo? :)

Nice video, and seeing the post above is making me think about winging up at some point...

Great vid idea Teetwo, I enjoyed that.

To Axis pilots looking for an Axis Squadron, one of their best is recruiting here. Suggest you give them a go and enjoy the opportunity to learn from them.

Thanks, guys!

I'm trying to learn the Adobe software and felt I might have been spamming the Sim Theater a little too much the past few weeks so I thought I would go a different direction this time.

@ kiwiflieger - yeah I've been working on my robotic voice and I getting pretty good at it :)

JG51 would love to have you come tag along with us. We're a bunch of old farts who enjoy drinking and pretending we are WWII pilots. Some of our members are more active than other throughout the week, but we all get together as a group each Sunday night @ 8 pm Eastern to run organized mission together. We are not anti-social but we like to hang out on our TS channel on the ATAG server so we don't have to worry about watching our language. If you see us on, please feel free to join us, that's an open invitation for any pilot by the way.

@ the new pilots just coming into Il2 Cliffs - No skill or age requirement to fly with us. We have all been new at one point, and although we have some really good pilots flying with us, none of us are top guns. Our success comes from our teamwork and is the reason why if there are two of us on its 99.9% assured we are flying together. It's not a problem if you are not interested in becoming a member of our squad. This is a great game, and community, and if we are able to help you learn the game so that you stick around and fly as a RED or BLUE pilot we are still all winners.

Good hunting!

I can teach you a thing or two about getting that spitfire off your six and really driving him nuts in the process.
I'm not sure if the c4/b will have auto pitch so I've been touching up on manual pitch and the c2 is an absolute killing machine, as long as you can keep guns off you, which is much easier with these 20mm armed supersonic gnats buzzing around me trying to kill anyone who takes the bait and goes after the 'easy' 110.

Do you Prefer the C2 over the C4 and C4/N?

I have never really bothered with it due to the lack of the minengeschoss round.

I much prefer it to the c4, c7 variants, and c4/n derated. C4/n would be a tie.
I find pilot kills come more often. Maybe luck, but im assuming it has something to do with every round being a fragmentation round. I also find it to be more maneuverable if you run your engines hard like 2500-2600 rpms during evasive maneuvers. The lack of cockpit armor is a pain when attacking bombers but It doesn't hamper you much against fighters when taking into account the maneuverability.

Edit: I went psycho and took all the mineshells out of my c4/n. I'm fairly sure its not just luck with the PK's.
