Wonderful skin there SP...Looks like you got the hang of it in CLOD pretty quick then...

I love very distressed skins...More realism...You see those old picks of BOB Spits close up and they are covered in dings and oil and spent cordite...Real workhorse aircraft...They always look to squeaky clean at the airshows...and never have the cordite on the wings either...

Always make a post if you make a skin...I/we love to see them buddy...~S~

Would love it if they kept a little bit of soot and dust on airshow spits... Would look alot better!

Hi, Its a really nice great SPITFIREPILOT. I love its vibrancy.

Couple of things (probably some are my bad, the other please do not take as criticism - you wanna see bad - just look at mine!)

Firstly, The file in the link is something like 2867 pixels square - if this is pasted into the skin file it wont display in the game. I think (I might be wrong) the only thing that the game can use are 2048 or 4096 images (or mulitiples thereof that are pointless until DX11). as I say I could be very wrong but that's how it works for me.

Now for the picky bits - please understand that if I thought your skin was so-so but you were all "this is the ultimate bestest skin ever produced and I'm ace" Id probably say nothing. Equally if I thought you had produced an ok skin but it wasn't great id say "well done".

Your skin is GREAT - the only thing I noticed was that the upper nose area is slightly mismatched in terms of weathering and staining and. Pretty sure you would find it a very easy this to sort given the talent you clearly have if you were so inclined. Its worth it given the quality of what you have produced.

Some panel lines are, for me, also a little too pronounced and give a "die cast" look - but - this is personal preference and its your skin! - At the moment things like lines are hard coded and give that impression on the spit anyway so its hard to tone it down that much even if you wanted to. If you are using the Checkmysix template as a base, you can find a really nice sweet spot between the line and 3D layer. Again - just my own preference though.

Finally, I am assuming that you used Keefs "Checkmysix" template as a base at least (if you did this all from scratch then even bigger S!). If you did (or may in future) I think its always good form to mention where the work of others has been incorporated or used to base to inspire your own. Ive see many many works in the past get praise heaped all over them for what has been nothing more than adding an emblem,a couple of letters, or a dollop of colour and passed off as "all my own work" - I think Keef is a pretty chilled cat so I don't presume to speak for him, but it would piss me off royally is someone did that to my work.

As someone who enjoys skinning myself (but has limited ability) I think its important that those of us who "do" acknowledge each others efforts. The more we do, the more it becomes the norm to do, the more recognition and encouragement we give each other to produce more and inspire.

Speaking of which....I really hope to see to more of your talent around here soon!!!
